Wv high school football scores

Hello!
I've been fortunate enough to receive acceptances at KCUMB(KC) and USUHS. However, I am having a hard time deciding between them. What are your thoughts? KCU MB Pros:

1. In the Midwest. I'm from the Midwest.
2. Tuition is reasonable
3. P/F/Honors system
4. Excellent Match statistics every year
5. Students seemed happy (is this true in your experience?)
6. OMM is kept at a minimum.
7. In general, I really liked the school when I went there for a campus tour as well as Kansas City.
8. I would have the opportunity to serve some of the sickest patient populations in our country.

Cons:

1. Tough curriculum
2. Rumored scheduling issues
3. The hassle of taking both COMLEX and USMLE
4. Not sure how step 1 going p/f will affect the school
5. Limited Research opportunity? (but a lot of students from KCU work with UMKC and KU research groups)

USUHS: Pros:

1. P/F curriculum
2. Excellent match statistics
3. Free tuition
4. I don't have an issue with the 7-year service commitment.
5. During the campus visit, I felt it was a very collaborative environment and students seemed to be happy.
6. Lots of research opportunities.
7. Don't have to take 2 sets of board exams or deal with OMM at all.
8. This might seem naive, but ever since the start of my premed journey, USUHS has been my dream school

Cons:

1. Will have to constantly move (Although this is not something new for me it's still very challenging)
2. Pay is significantly lower in the long run (but I won't have student loans which was quite a bit when I checked on finaid.gov--roughly $600,000 will be paid back in 10 years)
3. Skill atrophy in some surgical specialties (At the moment, I am not too keen on pursuing surgical specialties but this might change. Currently, I am interested in internal medicine, anesthesiology, and radiology..not sure how skill atrophy affects these specialties.)
4. Won't have a chance to serve some of the sickest patient population (not sure if this is true).

Please let me know what are your thoughts. Any advice is greatly appreciated! And thank you Reddit for all your help with this crazy application process.

Edit: Forgot to mention, but the cost of living in Bethesda is very high, while KC is very affordable. Also, if I end up going with USUHS, I will be losing the $2000 deposit + $200 deposit for the apartment in KC and the campus tour trip cost ($1000).

Ted Lasso fan here. Well more like the current excited now mostly let down by season 3. Anyway, grinding out the final episodes when I realize they’re just shoving football is life down my throat, weird English school boy stories of Rupert and his love for it, and as an American I can’t relate. I’ve also seen how much they promote MLS in the sports tab and it started to make me wonder if the show could have had its roots in a board room somewhere to drum up American interest in soccer.

Hey all,
I recently passed my emt class with a very high score and now I’m planning on taking my NREMT very soon. I have been using EMT prep and just paid for another month and realized some questions it gives me are a bit questionable. One of them asked how many breaths to give someone (rescue breaths) and the answer was 3-5 when I was taught it was 1 every 6 seconds and that was not an answer at all. There are a couple similar questions that were also questionable and also contradicted what my professor taught us so I’m a bit concerned if EMT prep is a reliable source or if the NREMT just has different answers? Any other reliable study sites out there? Thank you

So I went to a university that had a pretty strong record for both finance and technology. The median commerce-school kid was way more attractive than the median CS kid. I've noticed this in YouTube videos too as I've needed to learn some programming for my job. Programmers are often balding, overweight, unfit, and don't take care of the themselves. Why is this? I would assume programming careers correlated with higher intelligence and income, which tends to correlate with better physical health. Are people socially ostracized more drawn to programming? Or is there some omitted variable (the obvious one seems to be high functioning autism) that lends to an interest in computer science and unremarkable physical appearance.

Hi all! I’m on the hunt for some new partners (not replacing anyone of course) that are interested in angsty, romantic and, of course, dramatic plots. In said plots I’d prefer to play the F in M/F pairings, it’s just what I’m most comfortable with : ). Aside from that though, I am 24 which means all of my partners NEED to be 18+, there is no wiggle room on this. Please don't lie and say you're of age if you're not, it's dangerous. Also, another lil request if possible: I just moved to the central time zone and would love some partners over here or who are at least awake during these hours, not a requirement tho!
We can discuss rules, limits and triggers privately if we decide to move forward, however there is one rule I’ll let you know of now since it puts some people off. I don’t double. I will gladly play multiple side characters, however I will not do one pairing in exchange for another (you playing my love interest and us doing a separate plot where I play yours). I find it hard to focus and they never end up fair in my experience. I hope that makes sense lol. Also, when it comes to ooc chatter I don’t mind fangirling or general chit chat, but what does bother me is holding conversations for days on end with no replies or no mention of replies. I find making friends through roleplay a bit awkward so if it happens organically I’m here for it, but I don’t want it to be forced. I hope that doesn’t make me sound harsh.
Right now I’m specifically on the hunt for three fandoms/pairings: Criminal Minds, Stranger Things & Teen Wolf.
In CM I’d be looking for someone to play Spencer Reid opposite of my character, Olivia Chandler. Olivia is a Gale Weathers type if you know Scream at all, but FAR less of a bitch. I think there’s a lot of longevity for this pair as Olivia is afraid of commitment whereas I see Spencer just hesitant when it comes to romance at all, especially if we set this after Maeve. There’s a lot to her backstory that I think could make for an interesting twist a little further along, but we could do different cases and such and it would be fun! As all of my characters do, Olivia has her own backstory written up and available upon request.
While I haven’t watched S4 of ST yet (atp I’m just waiting for S5 to rewatch all of it lol), I know most of what happens, but this plot would take place more of s2-s3 and maybe in an AU space s4. I’d be playing an original character, Nancy and Mike’s troubled cousin from New York, and would want to pair her alongside Billy Hargrove. I think they’re ‘fuck this small town’ attitudes would work well along with other things.
As for Teen Wolf, I’d love for someone to play Derek Hale against my canon-divergent version of Paige Krasikeva. For those who don’t remember, Paige was teenage Derek’s girlfriend who was scratched by an alpha and Derek had to kill himself. In my version, Derek thinks he killed her but Peter brought her back to life and sent her off with her parents who moved. Now she’s back in season 3A as an adult music teacher at the high school with no memories of Derek or werewolves.

I want to know where you started learning your core market theory, the thing that drives your current understanding of the market.
This isn't exactly about your specific strategy, but rather what you consider to make new strategies. Essentially, how you understand why your trading works.
For example, something like supply and demand, learned the concept back in high school and college, refined the concepts from blank YouTube channels that I apply today.
OR options Greeks, learned from free broker videos, refined by etc.

• Total budget : $400-$1000 USD
• Are you open to refurbs/used? Yes, refurbs are generally what I buy.
• How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life? I want good battery life, but I also want good performance. Performance is always over battery life for me, but it is nice to have. I'd prefer not to have a 2-in-1.
• How important is weight and thinness to you? Not too important, but you can't go wrong with going thinner. I don't want it to be a brick though.
• Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. I'd like a 15.6" screen or somewhere around that size. 14 inch is not a deal breaker but I'd like to be able to read more at one time (for programming and editing configs)
• Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. I'll be using this laptop for general schoolwork, CAD, programming (python, C, C#,), web design utilities, and some very light games (like terraria or Minecraft)
• If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Running Minecraft at around 300fps on low settings should be fine.
• Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? I very much like the touchpad on the EliteBook 845 G8, as that was my previous laptop. Reliable build quality is always nice too. Fingerprint reader would be really cool but that's just a gimmick to me and it wouldn't be necessary if it increases cost too much. It's very important to me that this laptop is user-upgradable and user-serviceable. A backlit keyboard would be cool too!

  • I do NOT want a laptop with a "gamer-y" look. I'm very minimalist when it comes to laptops and I don't want it to be too flashy.
  • I'd like a higher refresh rate than 60hz, but I know that is generally a pretty big battery killer so it's not 100% necessary.

Hey guys I just graduated high school and my brother got me a cam as a gift (chop acabra) from tsp.it’s a 01 Silverado 5.3 and I was wondering what heads, and stall would go good with the cam and also are 50lb injectors good enough for the cam. I’m not planning on boosting it just wanted to get the most out of a 5.3 being n/a any recommendations is appreciated

Currently, I am 27 years old and living with my family. My plan is to not continue that hopefully soon, but I need to get my life "on track". That would involve getting back on my medication to reduce anxiety, finishing school, and hopefully find some sort of career.
What I am going to school for right is something I do not have a passion in, cs, and I am aware that I made a mistake. I am willing to start over and try something else. When looking over potential undergrad programs at a local university, nothing is catching my eye as far as passion goes. The money is truly second. As long as I make enough to support my existence and whatever hobbies I will eventually get into.
More about me: I have been working part-time and full-time since I was 16, did not achieve well in school before college, went into college with no plan and thought Computer Science would be fun, and took several breaks from college due to mental health issues that have barely been resolved.
Something I have done to solve the problem of "What career should I get into?" is I thought about what I enjoy doing at jobs I have worked at and what did I prefer to work on in school? To give more context as to what I enjoy doing at work, I dunno, I guess solving an issue where something went wrong. Tracking down how it happened and when everything occurred. For school, I wasn't in a high-level class but I did enjoy working on mathematics. I think I rarely asked for help but obviously it wasn't a challenge anyways. It is possible for me these days to take on more than just mathematics as reading and writing has come a little easier to me (this post notwithstanding as I have made many grammatical and tense errors).
Additionally, I am seeing a therapist again.
Are there any resources or advice that y'all could provide so I may find a solution?

In my late teens and early twenties I believed that I possibly was infertile. I had been active for six years with a few partners and had not conceived and made little or no effort to avoid it (reckless, I know), was born 3 months premature, had surgery when very young, and had vericose veins that I believed possibly inhibited fertility (a ‘sack of worms’). For the first two years with the woman that would be my wife we also never conceived. Then it happened. When I was twenty-two I had my first child, a daughter, who was very special to me. My wife and I fell in love very deeply when we were first together and I felt that we would have a long future together and that there was something very special about our relationship. When we had our first baby I loved her very much. She was a very difficult child, though. She screamed constantly and never slept. I know I suffered from sleep deprivation for the first year with her. After her we had six more children. The second, another daughter, was quite the polar opposite and was a very happy and playful baby. The third, another girl, was also happy but quiet and very sweet and kind. My fourth child was my first son who was a very happy, playful, and active baby. Time passed and my first batch of four began growing and doing well in school and in life. They were all high-ability students and were very, very creative. I stayed at home and raised the kids and watched the house while my wife went to school and worked part-time eventually becoming a teacher. She would come home for lunch and spent all of her time with us when she wasn’t at work so we were a tight-knit family. Eventually we had her IUD removed and had more children. First another girl, then a boy, then another girl. The third girl was adopted by my wife’s sister, who had a very difficult first pregnancy with her son and could not have more children. A couple of years ago, though, my wife and I had a falling out after 23 years together. Having been assured by her laboriously that she would “…never stop loving you no matter what.”, “…never give up on you.”, “…never leave you, ever!”, “It would be impossible.”, and “You don’t have anything to worry about.” a thousand times over, she stopped loving me, gave up on me, left me, and I have worries. I gave up on the outside world over sixteen years ago to focus on our children while she became a professional so I don’t have any way to take care of myself. Her grandmother gave us a house as she loved our family and she “Wanted the house to be for one family again.”, as it had been divided into two apartments and one half rented out. Now my wife has decided that it’s not my home, her mother having put her name on the deed and with her grandmother dead there is no one to contest this. I refused to divorce her and still stay home watching my children every day, cooking, cleaning, doing dishes, putting them in bed, playing catch, riding bikes, going on walks, playing games, etc.. She gave up on teaching, started drinking heavily, started vaping, and is rarely ever here, often coming home insanely drunk having driven home, even falling down on the front porch in full view of the children while crawling through the front door. She got arrested a few days ago for driving drunk and committing serious bodily harm to a ‘Police official’ which is a level 6 felony and will be going to court soon. In closing, do I regret having children? NEVER! I love every one of my children, even though the first batch are gown up now and I almost never see them and they pretty much hate me. My two young children that I raise are my best friends and are two of the most excellent people I’ve ever known. They are one of the only sources of joy or purpose in my life. Do I regret marrying a narcissist who mirrored me for years before degrading me, devaluing me, and finally discarding me? YES!

Can you imagine being so pathetic you make one account after another to be able to access this sub solely to defend Aaryn in the comments. Aaryn is a piece of shit human. Abusive to others yet plays victim. Constantly lies in every aspect of her existence. I have communicated with a good 30 people in her personal life alone going all the way back to high school she has been the same person every time. Every single one of her “costars” has had a falling out with her each time the story is the same all due to her causing a fight out of nothing normally because they didn’t maintain a consistent source of attention to her. You will end up the same if she even knows who you are and then what, you will have wasted so much of your time for nothing. Everyone here already sees her for who she really is but go ahead stay awhile and learn a thing or two about who aaryn really is

In Across the Spider-Verse, Miles is a sophomore. Rio - sorry, Mrs. Morales - says from afar that Gwen looks old enough to vote. Is that just a mom's protective instinct working overtime, or when it comes to high school age differences, is Miles really punching above his weight?
Let's lay down some timeline groundwork (source in parentheses).
Pre-ITSV (before Dec 2018)

• Gwen has already lost her Peter (ITSV), who died at prom night (ATSV), and they seemed to be attending together (ATSV)

ITSV (Dec 2018)

• Miles is a freshman (ITSV)
• Gwen's enrolled in one of Miles' classes (could have faked her grade, or could be a multi-grade class) (ITSV)

ITSV-ATSV (Dec 2018-April 2020)

• One year and four months pass; both move up 1 grade in 2019 (ATSV)

ATSV (April 2020)

• Gwen appears to still be in high school - living at home, band practice in a school-like auditorium (ATSV)
• And of course, Gwen "looks old enough to vote" (ATSV)

Since we do have limited perspective, we're gonna have to make assumptions that the following things aren't different on Earth-65: prom is only for seniors - and sometimes juniors - as well as their date. (And that voting age is about the same for Earth-1610 as it is for us.) We'll just say Peter died at the prom of May 2018, making Gwen the most likely to be old enough to attend a prom in the first place.
OK, so what if Gwen's the same year as Miles? That means she was a freshman in ITSV and attended high school prom as...an eighth-grader. NO GO.
And if Gwen is a year ahead of Miles? She was a sophomore in ITSV and attended prom as a freshman. Possible, but it would mean Peter was a full two years older than her in order to be able to bring her as his date. Not impossible, but not very likely in a high school environment.
Now, if Gwen is two years ahead of Miles? Junior in ITSV, and attended prom as a sophomore - still needing to be asked by junior-year Peter, but this is much more plausible. Plus, this makes her a senior in ATSV - which if it isn't voting age, is on the cusp of it!
And the out-there possibility that still fits: Gwen has already graduated by the time we see her in Across the Spider-Verse LMAO. She drums in the school auditorium imply because they have access (maybe bandmates still attend HS? Maybe this isn't a HS auditorium at all, but a college one?), and lives at home while either not continuing with school or going to college nearby. This makes her a junior at the prom, which totally fits, and a senior when she starts sharing little looks with freshman Miles in ITSV.
Conclusion: Gwen Stacy is two to three grades ahead of Miles Morales, and depending on when their birthdays fall in the year, one to four years older than him. My boy Miles is pulling a senior, and maaaaaaaaybe a freshman college student, as a SOPHOMORE! 17-18, possibly 19-year-old Gwen is dropping mad hints at 15-16 year-old Miles! She's left clothes in his bedroom! She's met the parents! On the scale of high school relationships, she's a cross-dimensional cougar and her eyes are set on young meat!

Usually girls from girl-only schools mostly report they loved the experience, and I haven't read about boy-only schools yet. But then I wondered: What about the trans folk? Would they feel suffocated there? Bullied by teachers?

I (14f) had this crush on this guy (15m) named Sammy. Sammy is a cute older guy that plays for our high school soccer team and I cheer for him. I tried flirting with him but a girl on the squad said that I’m too cutesy for him. That inspired me to get a new look. I got new clothes, a new hairstyle, and brand new confidence. My friend Ella (14f) said that this brought the attention of one of my friends (14m) T.J. He’s a guy in my grade who I get along well with. He never really liked me like that before but now he was flirting with me! I started flirting back too cause I was maybe interested. Then after my new look, Sammy started noticing me more too. Soon all the guys at school were taking an interest. This really made me happy. Then Sammy asked me out. I was stoked so I obviously said yes. A bit after my friend T.J asked if I wanted to go to the movies. I said no because Sammy already has asked me out. Ella witnessed this and pulled me aside saying how I was asshole for rejecting T.J. I told her how hypocritical and jealous she was acting because I’m always there for her and happy with her relationships. Am I the asshole for rejecting my friend?
