I work at a sports barestaurant and we are a huge location and we do accommodate children. Most kids are chill normal, and most parents are also. But I swear every shift I have at least one table that makes me wonder if I should work at fine dining spot for the sake of never having to interact with children again. Yesterday a 2 1/2 maybe 3 year old came in with his mom and grandparents, and this kid was going crazy the full hour they were there, screaming at the top of his lungs, throwing things, ripping up paper, hitting his mom and grandma. I chose to not really acknowledge it because I don’t want to be rude, but while I was over checking on them this kid let out the highest pitch screech and I flinched and may have rolled my eyes. And they complained to my manger that I was rude to them. I had other patrons ask me if they were leaving soon and if I could ask them to get their kid to chill. I was swamped and tired, and this kid was giving me a migraine. Rant over.

She rolled on the ground playfully and then something popped and there was pus that shot out probably 8 inches away from her. I tried to clean it but she was having none of it. She has cleaned herself and is sunning herself on the porch.
Google says to give it a week and if it isn't ok by then to take her in. Just wanted to verify this information so I dont do any unnecessary harm.
There is an open vet I can bring her to or I can go to our regular on Monday if this doesn't look urgent.

I am proud to announce, after a year in development, the creation of the Thaumcraft Neverhood Community and its associated modpack/server. Not a day has gone by in the panoply of subreddits and many modding communities without sorrow over the passing of Thaumcraft's time. Gone are the days of public and permanent dedicated Thaumcraft servers, spent are those hidden communities, drowned are the decrepit servers and ruins are all that remain of such a golden age of Minecraft modding.
Until now.
It has been *quite* some time since a dedicated public Thaumcraft server has lifted its flag, and it is with incredible pride that I announce its resurgence. Enter: The Thaumcraft Neverhood.
You see, Thaumcraft's creator, Azanor, spent years recreating over and over Thaumcraft's wonderful system and engine, and while the particulars changed with each version, the essentials remained the same; Essentia, Marvels, Madness. Being the ultimate magic mod with no easy competition and with a depth to chew on for years alone, Thaumcraft nurtured an addon scene of quality content and magnificently crafted environments that inspired people for decades. But Minecraft changed, over and over, and with each version, Azanor had to work harder and harder, rebuilding from the ground up ad nauseum until finally it was too much, leaving his latest version, Thaumcraft 6, unfinished and lacking in his previous creations. It would then sit there, forever untouched as Azanor retreated to his own personal demiplane. Other teams have attempted to pick up the reigns with his permission, but developer hell, small crafting budgets, and other issues have kept those groups and completion of the translation in limbo for years. Even then, it would be merely recreating an unfinished version, devoid of the fullness of the experience (though I have nothing but respect for those brave communities and modders that try).
Therefore, being a general consensus of multiple communities of the fullness and total content/inclusion/addon-scene, this modpack aims to be the **perfect** Thaumcraft experience, within the 1.7.10 version ruleset of Thaumcraft 4. Accompanying Thaumcraft and a number of the highest quality works-together addon mods, are additional dimensions, each selected for excellence and thoroughness of development, a perfect time machine to that era. For such a magnificent magical system deserves an equally magnificent set of places to explore and things to do, no?
What I have here is the alpha for such a magnificent endeavor, painfully coded and blood spilt to ensure compatibility with everything. Well, most everything. I need a team of alpha testers to break this mod over its knees. Crash it, break it, boil it. Fill the Aether with seas of flux, create a calculator using only golems, see how many ender pearls a rift wand can store before it explodes. In short, I need tests, experimentation, and feedback, SO much delightful feedback. I've gone as far as I can with 1 person, and before I go public with a stable launch of a forever server, I need to anneal it to the public's inspection as I'm aiming for perfection here, not "merely good enough to load."

Last night, my boyfriend and I decided to go out for drinks. I started getting ready and when I started trying on outfits, I started feeling extremely insecure and frustrated because nothing looked good. I kind of shut down and became quiet, which he picked up on. He asked if I still wanted to go out and I, stupidly, said yes. I’m aware that I should’ve communicated better and told him how I was feeling at the time, but I thought I’d feel better once we were actually out.
I was wrong. Once we got in the Uber, I started to have a panic attack. He didn’t realize this because when I get panic attacks, it’s not really obvious. My chest gets really tight, I start fidgeting with my hands, my eyes well with tears, and I become incapable of speaking (not actually, but it feels that way). Essentially I just shut down. However, my boyfriend just thought I was giving him the silent treatment for some reason, which made me even more anxious because I couldn’t (or felt like I couldn’t) communicate to him why I was actually being quiet.
Once our Uber dropped off, my anxiety became 10x worse. I still felt bad about myself, but now I felt overdressed for the place we went to and very uncomfortable. I wanted to leave as soon as we got there. We ended up awkwardly sitting at a table for about 10 minutes, in silence, and quickly finished our drinks so we could leave ASAP. At one point, he asked me in a snippy tone (again, I understand why), “Are you gonna say anything? You’ve barely talked to me all day. This is extremely uncomfortable.”
I just stayed silent because, again, I was having a panic attack.
I was also confused by his wording “all day.” I didn’t think I’d been quiet at all prior to this.
We got home from the bar and he started watching TV. I cleaned up the house a bit and then sat down next to him. Again, neither of us said anything.
He went to bed shortly after and I joined him. He was scrolling on his phone for a while and I was crying but trying to be quiet and not make it obvious. Eventually it became obvious because of the sniffling. He still didn’t say anything to me.
I finally was able to get out “I’m sorry for tonight” but it came out all sad and croaky. He was quiet for a while, then said “it’s fine.” Clearly it wasn’t. He just rolled over and went to bed while I continued to cry.
Fast forward to today, I’ve been trying to act normal and nice towards him. I did all of the laundry, cooked him breakfast, and cleaned the bedroom (which are things I normally do every day, but still), but he’s now giving me the silent treatment. He said one lighthearted thing to me this morning about what was on TV, but he’s become more and more distant throughout the day.
An hour ago, we were sitting on the couch watching TV and I was looking at him for a solid two minutes. Normally he’d look back at me right away, but I could tell he was clearly trying to avoid making eye contact with me. I asked him if something was wrong. He said no. I asked if he was sure. He said yes.
I said he’s barely looked at or talked to me all day. He said I barely talked to him last night. I said that I apologized for that already. He didn’t say anything.
I left him alone and went into the bedroom. He’s only come in here to grab something and tell me he’s taking the dog for a walk. Nothing else.

Currently level 53, and have two shockwave drops at 68% roll (ring, currently equipped) & 98% roll (totem). Waiting for a solid two-hander to drop before imprinting one of these, and am wondering what the best path forward might be.

- Should I imprint on an orange drop, or yellow? Does this matter?
- Current weapon sucks around ~600 item level. Does waiting until 700ish drop sound good?
- Should I imprint the lower roll, and save the higher for later game? Or just imprint the higher roll ASAP
- Any preference between hammer or axe?

I got 3rd place starting position for todays championship, but due to the game only going into VR mode THE MOMENT you get control of the car on the rolling start, I started the race angled about 10° to the left which meant I had 2 choices.
1) attempt to drive all 15 laps with my body facing forward but my head turned 10° to the left.
2) try to realign my view by holding down Options, which opens the menu and causes you to lose control of your car.
Both absolutely FUCKED my best attempt at getting a good result.
I held options, my view pinged forwards, but it took like 1⅕s for the game to register me SMASHING the O button to get back in control. By this point it was too late and I went off the track and went from 3rd to 12th.
There's 2 things the Devs could do to alleviate this issue.
1) let VR players go into VR a few seconds prior to giving us control, so if there IS anything wrong with our orientation, we have the time to correct it before the race starts. 3s IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ENOUGH!
2) Every VR dev with even a modicum of common sense programmes the game to know the difference between a click and a long press. If they updated the game to open the menu on the depression of a click (within, say, 300ms) and not open at all if the options button is held for longer than 350ms (also known as a long press!!!) Then drivers could refocus their head alignment without being thrown out of the race into the options.

Not a day has gone by in the panoply of subreddits and many modding communities without sorrow over the passing of Thaumcraft's time. Gone are the days of public and permanent dedicated Thaumcraft servers, spent are those hidden communities, drowned are the decrepit servers and ruins are all that remain of such a golden age of Minecraft modding.
Until now.
It has been *quite* some time since a dedicated public Thaumcraft server has lifted its flag, and it is with incredible pride that I announce its resurgence. Enter: The Thaumcraft Neverhood.
You see, Thaumcraft's creator, Azanor, spent years recreating over and over Thaumcraft's wonderful system and engine, and while the particulars changed with each version, the essentials remained the same; Essentia, Marvels, Madness. Being the ultimate magic mod with no easy competition and with a depth to chew on for years alone, Thaumcraft nurtured an addon scene of quality content and magnificently crafted environments that inspired people for decades. But Minecraft changed, over and over, and with each version, Azanor had to work harder and harder, rebuilding from the ground up ad nauseum until finally it was too much, leaving his latest version, Thaumcraft 6, unfinished and lacking in his previous creations. It would then sit there, forever untouched as Azanor retreated to his own personal demiplane. Other teams have attempted to pick up the reigns with his permission, but developer hell, small crafting budgets, and other issues have kept those groups and completion of the translation in limbo for years. Even then, it would be merely recreating an unfinished version, devoid of the fullness of the experience (though I have nothing but respect for those brave communities and modders that try).
Therefore, being a general consensus of multiple communities of the fullness and total content/inclusion/addon-scene, this modpack aims to be the **perfect** Thaumcraft experience, within the 1.7.10 version ruleset of Thaumcraft 4. Accompanying Thaumcraft and a number of the highest quality works-together addon mods, are additional dimensions, each selected for excellence and thoroughness of development, a perfect time machine to that era. For such a magnificent magical system deserves an equally magnificent set of places to explore and things to do, no?

I need a team of alpha testers to break this mod over its knees. Crash it, break it, boil it. In short, I need tests, experimentation, and feedback, SO much delightful feedback. 2023.06.10 20:57 Nooginator Starting to resent my husband.
My husband is awesome 99% of the time. He does our meal planning, cooking, grocery shopping, is great with our toddler, shares household duties. On the weekends he always gets up early one day with the toddler and I get up early the other. I had my tonsils removed 3 1/2 weeks ago. If you’ve never had your tonsils out as an adult, the recovery sucks. Kiddo stayed with her grandparents for 2 nights and we arranged for help with childcare on the weekend and daycare drop-offs. I don’t know what happened after I had my surgery, but he was so incredibly unhelpful. She got super clingy, obviously because things were chaotic, and he would plop her on the couch with me and sit and play on his phone while I drifted in and out of sleep (painkillers) and she occasionally climbed all over me. Within a few days of my procedure, he was leaving her with me while he was in the other room or went outside. Again, I am on serious painkillers at this point. One day I finally got frustrated and said, “I don’t want to be left with her again today!” and he told me I should communicate that next time. Like, what part of, “I am on narcotics,” is confusing? I am barely with it enough to watch TV, let alone communicate effectively.
When I had the procedure, it was too early to know I was pregnant (pre-implantation), and we found out about 6 days post-op that we are expecting our second baby. We had been trying for awhile and stopped due to my surgery - but here we are 🤷♀️ Fortunately my OBGYN said the painkillers I was taking were fine, and I was only on them for a few more days. That same day, he found out his job next school year is dropping to half time. It has been a lot. We’re tired.
I am now about 6 weeks pregnant, nausea is setting in, I am exhausted, and I am dirty pissed all the time. I never talked to him about how things were post-op because I figure it’s unlikely to be an issue again anytime soon. I tried to let it go. But I am so mad at him. Who leaves a toddler with someone who can barely breathe or swallow and is on drugs??
