Hi! I live in the US, but travel internationally frequently (for several weeks at a time). I use the NURX app to get my pills, and I just realized that I am going to be out of the country when they send my next set of pills (which I will need while I am abroad.) I asked NURX if they could send my next set of birth control pills early, but they said my insurance wouldn’t cover it until a certain date (and I will already be out of the country, which is no help.) They said I could pay over $100 to get it sent to me early, which is a lot! Does anyone know of a way around this or have you dealt with this before? TIA!

My husband and I were talking the other day how we wish the world could go back to the type of place where it was normal for one parent to work and one parent to stay at home; we both personally just think that’s what is best for family (doesn’t have to be the mom staying home, or a straight couple). And that brought us to the topic of the new wave of “men” wanting a more “traditional” woman. Here’s my question, since we’re all technically traditional women are you in charge? Meaning does every purchase go through you? Are you the one who knows all the bill companies and what comes out when? Because in my opinion as the one who stays home it’s our job to fully take care of the home and our home lives.

I've found myself in an unusual situation and I'm kind of wondering if there's something wrong with me - like, if I might be a bad person for what I'm doing. I've never heard of anybody else actually choosing to maintain a "relationship" with a narcissist when they don't need to, they're not emotionally attached, and they could end it at any minute if they wanted.
For background - I'm so very familiar with narcissism and manipulation, that I'm immune to being manipulated. My mother was a sociopathic narcissist, then I was married to one for 13 years, and I've known others well. I'm not a narcissist or a sociopath myself - I've taken several personality tests just to make sure, because I've been wondering!
My current life circumstances are such that I can't maintain a deep, committed, romantic relationship. It's not that I'm emotionally unable - but logistically, practically, I just can't right now. I have to avoid the temptation to fall in love or merge my life with anybody else's. But there are times when I'm bored, or need sex, etc. So I went on Tinder looking for a friend with benefits and found Brian.
Brian is absolutely a text book narcissist. No doubt about it. He's self-destructive, alcoholic, drug-addicted, histrionic....absolutely incapable of monogomy or of maintaining a normal, healthy relationship with anybody. ADHD. He's 47 and never been married. I've been seeing him once or twice a week for 5 months and it's like watching a slow train wreck. I have zero delusions about being able to help or change him, though I would if I could.
Brian's problems are convenient for my situation. His problems guarantee I won't fall in love or ever be tempted to combine my life with his. He would be impossible to live with and destroy a woman's finances instantly. So I can allow myself to really enjoy my time with him, without the worry that I'll ever be tempted to escalate the relationship. We'll have a wonderful, beautiful time together one day but the next day he's guaranteed to do/say things to prevent any possibility of that temptation. I can just choose not to be with him when he's in a bad mood and I don't have to tolerate abuse since I don't live with him or depend on him for anything.
He's not evil. I don't believe narcissists are evil, in general. He has deep feelings and he's very intelligent and has many awesome qualities. He's not malicious (although sometimes he seems to be). He's just extremely dysfunctional and has horrible insecurities and no self control. When he's in the right mood he does really nice things for people. He's extremely good in bed. Unbelievably good, which is the main reason I like him. He has an absolute 6th sense in bed. He's the best cook I've ever met, has an amazing garden, takes fantastic care of his animals. Plus I do think he feels love.
One example of his many bad behaviors: Yesterday he wanted to see me, with zero notice, and I couldn't see him. It's the first time in 5 months I haven't been able to see him when he wanted to see me. That led to a temper tantrum of toddler proportions, which started around 1:00 pm and lasted until he passed out around midnight. I silenced texting from him and just checked in every few hours to see what he was saying. When none of his manipulation was getting to me at all, he finally resorted to claiming that he'd taken half a bottle of Xanax. To which I replied "Geez, Brian." No - I didn't give in and run over to his house, or call the police for a wellness check, or call his mother. After decades of dealing with that type of behavior from other narcissists in my life I'm immune to that. Now it's 11:30 the next day and he hasn't texted yet this morning - either because he's embarrassed about his behavior last night, or because he wants me to think he's dead, or because he's waiting to see if I check on him or apologize.
I could so very easily end this but I don't want to. I care about him, and I feel like there probably aren't a lot of people who can deal with someone like him without feeling pain or taking it personally. I know that by the end of the day today he'll reach out and probably apologize. He always does. He told me before that he's had years and years of counseling and treatment and he feels like he's as good as he's going to get. He used to have a bad temper, which he has learned to control (he says hurtful things but is not at all physically violent). He says "if I haven't been able to get better by the age of 47, I'm not going to get better. " He does fee very sad that he's never been able to maintain a true relationship, and he hates it that he knows he'll be lonely in old age.
Is there something wrong with me for choosing to remain his friend?

I’m currently playing night mode and the sound quality is good until I get close. It’s hard to pin point if an enemy is in a corner or just standing in the center of the room.

I’ve (19F) have been having trouble with my long term friend (17F). (TLDR at the bottom)
For some context, my boyfriend (18M), let’s call him Thomas, left for the military a few weeks ago. I’ve had a hard time dealing with this, but lately I’ve gotten the hang of everything and have learned to find happiness in my own company. Just a week ago my friend’s, let’s call her Sally, boyfriend(18M), let’s call him Adam, also left for the military. The four of us, me, Thomas, Sally, and Adam, have had a close friendship for the last year and a half. The boyfriends are closer to one another and me and Sally have been close for a while. After Adam left for the military, I’ve been spending time at Sally’s house with her to help her through this transition.
At first it was going well. We hadn’t seen one another in a while so of course we were very happy to see one another, but that really only lasted for the first day.
I’ve been having some body image issues for a while, but I’ve been slowly losing weight in a healthy way. Well, Sally and I went to the gym together one day and I because comparing myself to others, including her. I never said any of this out loud, but Sally could tell what I was thinking and she did her best to comfort me. I went on a small rant to her about how I’ve been trying everything to lose weight quicker but it’s still going so slow and it’s bothering me. I told her “I’m tired of being the fat friend”. This then prompted her to bring up an x-friend of hers and tell me that the x-friend was a true definition of a “fat friend”. This surprised me for a moment because she’s always against talking on other peoples bodies. I decided to brush it off. I wish I hadn’t.
Since I had been staying with her we’ve been watching a show together, Dr. Stone, but she said that she wanted to watch it at her own pace. I took that as I would watch it at my own pace too, right? That only makes sense, right? Well apparently not. Sally was gone all day yesterday(I talk about this again later) and I had nothing to do so I watched the show on my own. (She did this same thing the night before but I wasn’t mad at her at all. I knew she was watching it at her own pace as I was) Well, she comes home and as soon as she does I pause the show and begin to rewind it to where she last watched. She sees me rewinding it and asks if I watched more and I told her “Yes I’m going at my own pace just as you are” she then seems mad but when I bring it up she denies it. I chose not to push after that.
The day after that(yesterday) she says she is going to take some time alone to go to the gym and the track. I had no problem with this. I told her to have fun and be safe and to let me know when she’s heading back. She was gone all day.
Here’s when I find out all she’s been saying about me and her lies:
She’s been gone all morning today taking another ACT. I’ve been in a very good mood while enjoying my own company. I was on Instagram and commented on a girls (Let’s call her Harper) story. This girl is a mutual friend of mine and Sally’s, but she’s definitely closer to sally. Anyway, I told her that the pic on her story was cute and then had some casual small talk about how her summer was going. She then told me about how she had hung out with Sally yesterday (the day Sally told me she was going to the gym alone). I had officially caught Sally in a lie because Harper said she was with Sally all day. That was the first straw.
After this I was pacing around her room (I’ve been staying in her room Since I’ve gotten here) and my eyes caught an assortment of papers lying on her bed. I realized these were her letters to her boyfriend and decided not to read them since I was sure they’d be personal and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone reading my letters to Thomas. That was my thought until I paced around more and I caught my eye on my name in said letter. Against my better judgement, I read the parts that included my name. It was all negative things being said about me and I could feel myself starting to cry.
1)“I was so pissed at Shasta for watching more of the show” 2)“I started watching MY new show to watch and she decided to make it hers as well” 3)“She talks about her weight a lot and puts other girls down”
1- This hurt because we had both agreed to watch the show at our own pace but yet she expected me to not watch any without her. When I do watch ahead, I never spoil. Ever. 2- What? I can’t control wether I like a show or not?? But I definitely didn’t make it “mine”. 3- I’ve been the girl that people make comments on regarding her body, I NEVER and WOULD NEVER put another person down for their body because I know how that feels. If you recall correctly, Sally had brought up an old friend of hers and began making comments on her body. True, I should have told her off for saying such things, but I didn’t. Of course I didn’t partake in it or laugh with her, but I suppose I am still a bit guilty for not stopping Sally.
I haven’t spoke to Sally on any of this. Today we are supposed to go out and hang out before I move out of state tomorrow. I could have been spending this time that I spent with Sally with my family instead but I knew she needed emotional support. I gave up time with my family to spend with her to make sure she was doing okay, but then come to find out she spoke of me like that behind my back and lied to me.
As I said, I’m supposed to hang out with her today, but I don’t know how I’m supposed to enjoy myself after knowing all this. Should I talk to her about this?
TLDR: friend has been lying to me and saying rude things about me behind my back. I’m moving out of state tomorrow, do I confront her today?

I am one of the fortunate ones who escaped the trap it really sets on you, I fly to Tenerife tomorrow which is something I wouldn’t dream of doing two years ago.
But let’s cut it back, since medication and a few lifestyle changes, I am now back to my old-self.. But still scared, I just do it scared, if that makes sense.
In referral to the title, now that I feel free I have learned to appreciate everything so much more. A walk in the park with my puppy, a drive on a busy motorway, going watching the football or seeing live music events. All of it genuinely makes me way more happy than it used to. It could be the slightest thing such as a good song or a little chuckle with my friends, everything just feels so much more special now. It’s really hard to explain but I just want everybody to understand that your anxiety isn’t you failing, it’s helping you grow and I truly believed I have now developed into the young man I wanted to become!
If anybody is feeling stuck, I promise there’s a way out. You have to believe in yourself otherwise Agoraphobia will always come out on top.

Welcome back to Advent's Amazing Advice! It's finally time for our next Fully Prepped Mini-Campaign/Adventure; Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, A level 1-3 Adventure that's sure to make waves! This is the most recent Starter Set and successor to The Lost Mine of Phandelver released by WoTC. In it, your players will sail to the titular Stormwreck Isle, an island shaped by an age of conflict between Chromatic and Metallic Dragons. They'll be able to befriend kobolds, explore fungal grottos, fight those twisted by Orcus, and perhaps save the very island itself!
Have your players create their own characters or jump right in using the Pre-Gens that are built with backstories integrated into the plot!
If you've used my previous notes you'll know that I take Adventures such as these and do all the difficult and time-consuming book-to-session conversions so you don't have to! I do my best to include Ambiance for every scene, custom battle maps, handouts when needed, spell sheets, encounter sheets, and more!
This may all sound familiar, but seeing as this is a Starter Set, I think it's important to reiterate:

• Read the Adventure: I know surprising, but It can be extremely confusing when you don't know where everything leads to.
• Consider the needs of your group: As you've heard or are about to hear a million times, every table is different. If you plan on combining this with a campaign, you'll have to make tweaks here and there.
• These notes aren't meant to be the end-all-be-all: Tweak to your heart's content, and don't consider any of what's written to be set in stone. For me having notes like this helps give me the confidence to go off the rails and follow along with what my players want. It helps me understand where things are meant to go and why. Having that understanding allows me to guide the players and create other new and interesting stories. These are all things that will come with experience, though, so don't freak out and enjoy the journey!

I got set up for this blind date two weeks ago. Unfortunately, I got a black eye last Friday that I was hoping would have healed by today. I did mention I got one to her over text, but also that I was confident it would be gone by the time we had our date and we haven't talked about it since. Well, 8 days later my eye looks like this. Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a Digital Bill of Rights (SB 262) that allows consumers to access and correct personal data collected by companies. It also requires major companies to ask consumers to opt in on the sharing of data, including use of facial recognition software. It also included a number of protections for children in online spaces.
“It basically establishes a number of protections for Floridians with respect to the digital sphere; one, the right to control your personal data, including the right to confirm access and delete your personal data from a social platform,” DeSantis said.
“You should be in control of this and ultimately have the final say over it. Also, it has the right to know that your personal data will not be used against you in purchasing a home, obtaining health insurance or being hired. That’s important for privacy.”
Rep. Fiona McFarland, a Sarasota Republican who has worked on the bill for three years, said the strictest regulations in the bill aim to protect children.
“We’re going to say that content is harmful to a child under the age of 18, whether it’s exposing them to sexually explicit material, bullying, behavior, drugs paraphernalia or even creating these harmful algorithms that are targeting on the developing great brain chemistry of a young child to promote difficult self-images and set them up for mental health disorders down the road,” McFarland said.

SITUATION
a. Enemy Forces:
The enemy, Clan (X), occupies a 6-story sheet metal base with multi-tool cupboard extensions. They have conducted two merge raids in the past 24 hours, controlling large oil rig and underwater labs for the past 48 hours. The enemy has an estimated (X) number of members. Our mission is to assault their base and destroy their ability to project influence in the area.

b. Friendly Forces:
Our raiding force consists of (X) highly trained and motivated raiders. The Allied clan will provide support by constructing a tower parallel to our position to provide 360-degree security and cordon the raid. Our objective is to conduct a foundation wipe on the enemy's base and establish control, allowing freedom of movement for resource collection in the area.

c. Terrain and Weather:
The objective area is located in a snowy environment. The operation will be conducted under cold conditions, requiring cold protection measures for our personnel. The terrain is predominantly open fields with some natural cover.

MISSION
Our mission is to conduct a raid on Objective (X) to destroy the enemy's ability to project influence in the area and establish control over key locations such as large oil rig and underwater labs. This raid will enable friendly forces to freely extract resources from the area and assert our dominance.

EXECUTION
a. Concept of Operations:
The raid will be executed in several phases, each designed to achieve specific objectives and ensure the successful completion of the mission. These phases include Shaping Operations (Phase 0), Deter and Deceive (Phase I), Seize the Initiative (Phase II), Dominate (Phase III), and Stabilize (Phase IV).

Phase 0 - Shaping Operations:
During this phase, we will conduct aggressive actions to weaken the enemy's defenses. Two sets of two MLRS strikes will be executed, respectively 6 and 3 hours prior to the raid. Intelligence gathering efforts will include drone reconnaissance, naked scouting, and timing the enemy's activities to identify vulnerabilities.

Phase I - Deter and Deceive:
In this phase, we will employ aggressive deception tactics to confuse and divert the enemy's attention. Openly discussing raiding another target in chat will create the perception that our focus is elsewhere. Additionally, targeted harassment against other groups using a small percentage of our resources will further distract the enemy.

Phase II - Seize the Initiative:
During this phase, we will execute a swift assault to seize the initiative and establish our dominance. The scheme of maneuver is as follows: Raider Team 1 will initiate the movement from our base to the raider's base, commencing 15 minutes before the templated raid time. They will maintain stealth and noise discipline to avoid detection. Raider Team 2 will establish the raid base rapidly, setting up defenses such as auto turrets and compound walls under the guidance of the raid base leader.

Phase III - Dominate:
In this phase, we will exert our full force to dominate the enemy and destroy their base. Each raider will participate in launching a relentless assault using rockets. The objective is to launch one row of rockets at the enemy base's foundation and level one floor at a time, systematically weakening the structure until the foundation is completely wiped. The rocket leader will coordinate the rocket strikes and ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

Phase IV - Stabilize:
In this final phase, we will consolidate control over the objective area. All raiders will eliminate any remaining threats and secure the raid base. The raid base leader will be responsible for ensuring its security and maintaining operational readiness.

LOGISTICS
a. Resupply:
Resupply will be conducted via mini-copter in the event that additional ammunition is required. The raid base will have a Tier 3 workbench with enough crafting materials to accommodate 400 meds and 3000 rounds of 5.56 ammunition.

b. Medical Support:
All players will have a bed platform half a grid before the raid base location and one bed in the raid base. Additionally, there will be three additional sleeping bags available. Medical support will be limited, as players can respawn.

c. Transportation:
All raiders will proceed on foot to the objective area. Rockets will be carried by hand to ensure mobility and readiness.

d. Weapons and Equipment:
Each raider will carry one AK with a full kit and a jacket. They will also carry 14 meds, 3 wood walls, 200 cloth, and two rows of rockets. These provisions will enable them to engage the enemy effectively and sustain their operations during the raid.

e. Raid Base Setup:
The raid base will be established to support our operations. It will include necessary defensive measures such as auto turrets and compound walls to secure our position and protect our raiders.

COMMAND AND SIGNAL
a. Command:
The raid leader will exercise overall command and provide guidance throughout the operation. Subordinate leaders will execute their assigned tasks and coordinate with the raid leader as necessary.

b. Signal:
Communication will primarily occur via Discord, utilizing voice channels and text chat for coordination. Priority speaker roles will be assigned to the raid leader, rocket leader, and raid base leader to ensure clear and effective communication.

I’ve always loved rogues and thieves in rpgs and the faction just leaves me so disappointed. Why did it have to be a daedra cult? Even that’s not as bad as the reward for living in service of Nocturnal is…being a ghost that just hangs out in her temple for eternity. That’s so lame.
The questline itself is a disappointment too because instead of stealing something it’s all about returning something that was stolen.
Then there’s the nightingale armor. Hands down the best looking armor in all of tes…but it’s enchantments are counter intuitive to me. Illusion and one handed? I’m not a vampire, I’m a thief and even if I was then I’d get more out of the dark brotherhood than the thieves guild. Muffle? It’s light armor. That enchantment is useless after the unhindered perk which is better than muffle anyway so why wouldn’t I take it? The guild master armor is more appropriate, but idk…something about having a god of thieves giving you custom made thieves’ daedra armor makes me think the nightengale set should be better for thieving than a black leather mortal made set. It does look good. Not as cool as the nightengale, but cool
I will say the radiant quests are a standout as they’re integrated into the gameplay seamlessly. That’s just not enough for me though.

Interested in hearing your feedback on my 'Roth IRA Contribution Engine' (or whatever you want to call it).
33 yrs old, trying to break from corporate to my own gig but need financial security. The usual situation for a lot of folks here.
Been tossing everything I get in commission from my Inside Sales job into the brokerage acct for 5 years, at $96k and yielding 6% annually in divvys ($5,818). Need to dump a little bit more into divvy stocks until I reach the Roth IRA annual Max contribution limit of $6,500 annually, then I'm going to link my brokerage to my Roth (currently at $78k) for monthly $550 transfers (or whatever the max divided by 12) and 'set it and forget it'.
Yes I will be pivoting to growth stocks with future investments after the engine is up and running. Yes I am aware of the tax implications and I am taking the hit now in exchange for reinvesting those divvys from the engine into growth and index funds in my Roth. Is this smart? It's the best I can think of right now. You will see some seemingly random growth stocks/non divvy payers, as you all must feel, some time you just cant help yourself when you want to go long on a company.
