I’m noticing a lot of breakups lately on here! What’s going on?
I split with my husband a couple months ago and have been in a new apartment for the last couple of weeks. I got tired of my PMDD being blamed for everything so he didn’t have an excuse to work on himself. I cried, begged, asked nicely for him to stop constantly prioritizing and overextending himself so I could take care of myself after a move to a new state, rough pregnancy, and traumatic childbirth. When that did not happen and I had done everything I thought I could for the PMDD and our marriage, I finally had to leave.
This is my first PMDD episode while living alone and having custody of my toddler and it has absolutely floored me. I had to call my sons father to travel three hours round trip to get our toddler because I could not care for him during the flair. I am barely hanging on.
I know this will pass, but I know it will come again. I’m tired. I don’t want to do this anymore. I don’t want to raise my son alone. I don’t want to keep trying when nothing has worked. I feel like everyone would be better off without this monster that takes over my life every few weeks. Idk who I am between becoming a mother, wife, and the PMDD being exacerbated after baby.
I’m not sure what even the point is here, other than solidarity with those of you I also see going through it right now. Just keep swimming.

I started smoking in 2010, smoked 20-30 a day till about 2016? Then I made the change to vaping, but I vaped extremely heavy, constantly, all day. I drive for a living and constantly use it, in my down time I use it while on my pc every couple of minutes, totally dependant on it if I’m honest. I decided last week to change my vape for a pod style rather then sub-ohm to try and treat it more as a cigarette & only use it outside, which didn’t work, I just used it the same amount but with more nicotine in…. I’d had what I thought to be a stomach bug for 4-5 days, a terribly upset stomach with cramps waking me up in the night . Then I thought.. I wonder if it’s the vape? I’ve been using it with stronger nicotine and just as often…
Then it suddenly hit me, I have self diagnosed ibs, ( never been to dr about it, but most days I have to have Imodium ) and started tracking back to when it started, so I wrote a timeline down & worked out, my bad stomach issues actually started at the same time I started vaping in 2016, prior to this I had no issues what so ever. For the last 7 years I’ve had a constant dodgy stomach, bloating, anxiety about going out due to not making it to a toilet etc.
To make my vaping habit worse I have an extremely addictive personality
It’s been 48 hours since I went cold Turkey, my stomach is 10x better then it was, I’m also not bloated for the first time since I can remember, but oh my god, I am so irritated I just feel like I want to rip the skin off my face with my bare hands constantly. There’s literally no stopping this relentless craving and irritation, when I sleep, I wake up every 15-30 minutes.
The feeling of frustration and wanting to use my vape is so overwhelming, I’ve never experienced anything like it, i feel like screaming & crying. I just hope it’s worth it in the end.
It comes in waves, its always there niggling but it’ll hit me hard for 15 minutes then settle down a bit.
I feel sorry for my wife and son because my fuse on my temper is so short, it just goes 0-100 over the smallest stupid things. Thankfully she’s very understanding about it.
I don’t want to try gum or anything as I don’t want to replace a habit with another.
I really hope I can get over this soon

I feel like I don't have a good handle on how Union handles criminals. This is relevant, because in an upcoming session it's very likely that my PCs, who are Union forces, will capture some pirates on a frontier area (~6 months nearlight realtime from nearest other system), and I want to have a good answer to what will happen to them after, that keeps with the flavor of the setting.
The Crime: the pirates have killed several (less than 10) people from a non-Union state, destroyed important but not critical infrastructure, and stolen a large load of valuable commodities. The non-Union state is being nice and willing to turn them over to Union's justice, because relations are frosty at best and their own justice system is abhorrent to Union. For a handful of pirates, they'd rather buy friendlier relations. There is an HA colony in the system as well where the pirates can be sent.
I think an appropriate answer, that keeps with the Union Pillars, is roughly as follows. First they spend some time in the HA colony, where they cannot die of poverty but they won't have a fun time. They may work a crummy job if they choose, or a nice one if they get in touch with certain ethically compromised officials. Then, when outbound transit is available, they get a nearlight trip to what passes for a prison, where your movement is limited, your mail is read, but the confinement area is like, house arrest to a nice mansion. Sometimes a guy comes through and lectures you on philosophy, you can hold a job if you want to, or study something, and then eventually your term is up. Then you're free to go wherever, starting off from Metropolitan space. - which is nice enough to get most people to quit any crimes of profit.
This is an attempt to try to square the image of Union as a utopian good guy, with no secret brainwashing programs or w.e., with the need to...do something to bad actors other than just shooting them in the face. It does notably leave open the door for committed political criminals to come back and try again, which is a fun storytelling opportunity!
What other ideas do people have? How have you approached it in your games?

He is laughable, hot-headed, but very strong with his greatsword "Earth Master Sword Gekido" (土豪剣激土, Dogōken Gekido), he is unstoppable with a heavy weapon he carried.
- Sosuke Midoriko (ミドリコ・ソウスケ, Midoriko Sōsuke) - aka The Wind Swordsman, Kenzan (風の剣士、ケンザン, Kaze no kenshi, kenzan), Age: 15, Year 1 Class-E - An energetic young man who is a student of Academy Year 1-E. He was from Japanese nation who trained a Ninjutsu. With his double swords "Wind Twin Sword Hayate" (風双剣翠風, Fūsōken Hayate), he fight to believe that strength is justice. His twin sword can change it into shuriken, two-sword style and one-sword style.
- Yoko Hibiki (ヒビキ・ヨコ, Hibiki Yoko) - aka The Sound Swordswoman, Slash (音の剣士、スラッシュ, Oto no kenshi, surasshu), Age: 18, Year 2 Class-A - A glasses girl who is a student of Academy Year 2-A and a swordsmith of her class. She listen to music on her headphone and she always cover her eyes or face with her hand. In combat, she's uses an enhanced hearing and senses her enemy who is tracking her. With her katana "Sound Sword Suzune" (音響剣錫音, Onkyōken Suzune), she is highly experience by blocking and parry enemies' attacks like a samurai.
- Kuroiwa Kageyama (カゲヤマ・クロイワ, Kageyama Kuroiwa) - aka The Dark Swordsman, Calibur (闇の剣士、カリバー, Yami no kenshi, karibā), Age: 19, Year-3 Class A - Kuroiwa is a student of Year 3, same class as Maya. He has some cold personality, but he's more than a lone wolf. His sword technique are much like a Ronin, with his katana "Dark Sword Kurayami" (暗黒剣月闇, Ankokuken Kurayami), he'll have no mercy but to strike the enemy who stands in his way.
- Meldy Carmen (メルディカルメン, Merudi Karumen) - Student Council President of Logos Holy Knight Academy, Age: 18, Year 3 Class A - Meldy is Student Council President of the Academy who has a coy and innocent-façade. Meldy is talented with one-handed rapier-style and form her mana as her offensive magic with dry ice magic. She is also Maya's closest friend.
- Haruka Suzumura (スズムラ・ハルカ, Suzumura Haruka) - Student Council Treasurer of Logos Holy Knight Academy, Age: 19, Year 3 Class-A - Haruka is a Treasurer of Student Councils who is calm, perceptive, intelligent and good person who is really good at analysis.
- Cathy Villia (キャシー・ヴィリア, Kyashī vu~iria) - Student Council Secretary of Logos Holy Knight Academy, Age: 17, Year 2-A - Cathy is a secretary of Student Council who is very shy and timid. She has an interest of sword crafting, holy swords, the books and suspecting Jason is unrecognisably the new Saber.
- Stacey Luckwell (ステイシー・ラックウェル, Suteishī rakkuu~eru) - Year 1 Class-A, Age: 15 - Stella is a student of Logos Holy Knight Academy who is described as someone whose appearance would easily qualify within the boundaries of cuteness. She also has very large breasts and a curvaceous figure. She is in the same class as Estelle and Haley.
- Haley Violette (ヘイリー・ヴァイオレット, Heirī vu~aioretto) - Year 1 Class-A, Age: 15 - Haley is Stella's best friend and a student of Logos Holy Knight Academy who is a mature and tactful girl and rarely shows emotion. She is in the same class as Estelle and Stacey.
- Joshua Mitchwell (ジョシュア・ミッチウェル, Joshua mitchiu~eru) - Year 1 Class-A, Age: 16 - Joshua is a student of Logos Holy Knight Academy who is inspired to be a hero when he was younger. He was inspired by Jason's sword technique and wishing him to become his apprentice.

- Aoi Mizunami (ミズナミ・アオイ, Mizunami Aoi) - Year 1 Class-A, Age: 17 - Aoi is a student of Logos Holy Knight Academy who has some tomboyish and optimistic personality. She owes Jason for saving her from the School festival employees and she took an interest of him for witness his hidden strength by lifting the heaviest block and jog around the course with Estelle. She is trained swordswoman of her clan, she uses her mana ability to enhanced her reversed-blade katana (逆刃刀, sakabatō) and her combat techniques.
- Carlos Di Sandrois (カルロス・ディ・サンドロワ - Karurosu di sandorowa) - Year 1 Class-B, Age: 17 - Carlos is a student of Logo Holy Knight Academy who is in the same class as Roberto and he is Roberto's classmate.
- Bethany Laniez (ベサニー・ラニエズ, Besanī raniezu) - Bethany is a teacher of Year 1 Class A, staff member of Logos Holy Knight Academy. She teaches the students with many trials and challenges to show their own potential skills. She is kind-hearted, but with Jason and Estelle around for doing the challenges very quickly, she become developed unpleasant to the two so then she's giving them a hardest challenge such as double the weight or add extra minutes to do the challenges.
- Cecilia Lumera (セシリア・ルメラ, Seshiria rumera) - Queen of Lumera Kingdom, Master Logos - She is a Queen and the current Master Logos, her duty is to protect the Wonder World and her people.
- Milianda Lumera (ミリアンダ・ルメラ, Mirianda rumera) - Daughter of Queen Cecilia, Princess of Lumera Kingdom - Milianda is a daughter of Queen Cecilia and the Princess of Lumera who is fond to the Wonder World outside and the story books of fairy tales.
- First Master Logos (初代のマスターロゴ, Shodai no masutārogo) - The first Master Logos was the first known holder of the title and the founder of the Sword of Logos. Before his passing, he passes on to Cecilia who is now a new Master Logo and the Queen of her kingdom.
- Marina Oceanne (マリナ・オシアンヌ, Marina oshian'nu) - Marina is Estelles's mother of Oceanne Family who look after her ever since her father went off to his journey to unknown. She deeply care of Estelle very much since she was a proud daughter of her family.
- Sharr Kahn (シャア・カーン, Sha kān) - aka The Void Swordsman, Falchion, (無の剣士、ファルシオン, Mu no kenshi, farushion), Year 3 Class A of Emblem Supreme Knight Academy - Sharr is a student of Emblem Supreme Knight Academy, a rival school of Logos Holy Knight Academy. He's one of the most strongest swordsman in his academy. With his younger sister Shara, he seemly not even care of her but he only care is to beating the students to the bloody pulp.

In spite of his brutish personality, he prefers to fight worthy opponents, sparing those he considers weak or unmotivated to provoke and humiliate them into becoming stronger or more aggressive should they re-encounter each other in battle.
- Desast (デザスト, Dezasuto) - Desast is a hybrid Megid who Storius created on a whim with no purpose in mind, which Desast compensates by fighting ideal opponents.
- Weevil (ウィービル, U~ībiru) - a young prince of his kingdom who is sadistic and mad man with is arrogant and pride personality. He looked down on them who is no use for him. He can do whatever he want when he killed people by tearing off victims limbs.

I know this is sort of the "whole thing" with BPD so maybe it's a silly question, but does anyone have any advice for telling the difference between real vs perceived abandonment? I can never tell if my partner's behavior has changed, or if I'm doing the thing where I take any less-than-total-enthusiasm as rejection, and then gaslight myself into a spiraling pit of despair about it. I can ask them 100 times if everything's okay, and they can assure me 101 times that nothing's wrong, and every time I will still be 100% convinced that they're lying to my face.
Like, are they pulling away because they're just feeling kind of down, and they dont want to talk about it, and that's fine? Or are they actually mad at me? Or do they just need some alone time? Or are they seeing someone behind my back? Or are they burnt out from work? Or are they grey-rocking because I'm secretly abusive? Or were they fine at first but now my repeated asking is pushing them away? Or is everything actually 100% fine and I'm over here barking at shadows on the wall for no god damn reason???? I have literally no idea where to even start, and I'm scared that if I DO decide that it's just my BPD I'll be wrong and then I'll never be able to talk myself out of a spiral again because of "that one time I was right".

I had this dream on 07/06/2023 (coincidentally, on Wednesday) morning before I woke up. I could have posted it earlier but I hadn't decided wether or not to post it. So today I decided to post it.
Here is what happened.
Wednesday was standing outside a house, near the gate, facing the compound. There was a brown coloured talking spider at the wall. It looked sad. Wednesday: *looks worried* What's the matter? Is the wifi dead again? Talking spider: The wifi does not have any problem. But it is neither the wifi nor the baby that bothers me now. The actual problem is... And I saw her running into the house and turning to her left.
And then the dream ended and I woke up. When I checked the calendar, I saw it was Wednesday and felt that on a personal level. And I immediately remembered to make that day's "It is Wednesday my dudes" post (yes you can find that in this sub by searching). But I was undecided wether or not to post this.
I am not saying my dreams always have meaning or something but there are times when my dreams have had a relation in the real world. I am not sure about this one too. But I would feel guilty for not posting it if this actually had any meaning. That is why I chose to post it. And I am definitely not making all these up, I really had this dream. The spider's voice was so beautiful.

2023.06.10 19:42 NoGoodLefty String Pinsetters Today
I had the opportunity to visit the ITRC in Arlington, TX and bowled 2 games on strings and 2 games on traditional pinsetters. SO MUCH FUN!
I did NOT bring my best stuff today, far from it in fact. The first 2 games were on the strings and I was playing entirely the wrong part of the lane. NOT the pinsetters fault! I scored really low, but I also missed a bunch of single pin spares (lots of flat 7's) and just was not throwing it in the right spot, given the lane condition. I finally moved everything 5 boards left towards the end of the 2nd game, and THEN I was able to carry. I kept with that same move as we moved pairs to the traditional pins and I scored decent on that pair. Again, not the strings fault I played the wrong part of the lane and couldn't spare a corner pin to save my life early on!
The 2nd game on the strings, I left a pocket 7-10 (not entirely THAT uncommon) and I did leave a pocket 5-10, which...for me....I can't remember the last time I've left that. I also had one messenger on the strings that fell short, MIGHT have gone to target on traditional...maybe?? So, that's about the only anomaly I found while bowling between the two types of pins.
Moving over to the traditional pins, I scored MUCH better, but again...I chalk that up to playing the right part of the lane and spare conversions. It was not a difference in the pins, IMO.
From an unscientific perspective, I do believe that traditional pins bounce around more and seem more lively from a visual sense...but it's not REALLY about that, it's about the data.
I wish I could have bowled 2 more games on the strings knowing that I was finally lined up and executing good shots (and spares).
Much like the bowling stadium, the approach is one big approach and there's an extra set of dots that I wasn't used to. Initially, I was playing 12 to about 6 and the ball reaction just wasn't good. Once I moved everything 5 left and played a bit straighter, the angle and reaction was MUCH stronger and I was able to carry the corners consistently.
I will be signing up for a 2nd round of the test here shortly and will remember where I played, assuming the shot is the same, which I expect it will be. Met some fun peeps that were excited about bowling, talked to some nice people that worked there and got some great insights into the testing, etc. All in all...glad I went!

Do I just need to make it thicker using something like a solidify modifier to create a large enough buffer during the twist? Is this something that should be up to weight painting when it gets to the rigging side of things (this object is not rigged at the moment)? I've considered using a plane with a texture to intuitively solve the distance problem, but the problem with that, I feel, lies in the lack of double-sided texture. This model is eventually being textured and thrown into Unreal Engine, of which the small component here isn't intended to be on a different material, so it seems like activating a two-sided texture on the whole map could get complicated. 2023.06.10 19:42 Idle_Redditing When Nimbys complain about large buildings creating shadows just counter it by calling it shade. The sunlight provides no significant heating in winter when heating is wanted and significant heating in summer when it is not wanted.
Every window, apartment and business on the north side of a building is shaded and it is fine. It actually becomes problematic to be on the south side of a building with its added heat and glare.
Reverse that for the southern hemisphere where the north side faces the sun and the south side is shaded.

I’m looking for an affordable body sunscreen that doesn’t rub off on clothes, furniture, etc. and that I can wear daily in the summer on my arms and legs. I’m partial to Korean sunscreens at the moment, but I’m only familiar with sunscreens meant specifically for the face. That being said, I’m open to any and all recommendations.
