2023.06.10 20:39 monardoju Please help with 2017 XLE speakers
I recently bought second hand RAV4 2017 XLE and I have some issues with speakers. After taking apart all the doors, etc. here is what I found from previous owner:
a) The original stereo is replaced with Sony XAV-AX7000 car Receiver.
b) The dashboard speakers are removed
c) Front doors have Kenwood speakers (sorry don't know exact model), which I think is called 2 way (I think it has smaller tweeter in the middle - not so good with terminology)
d) Back door speakers are removed.
e) In the trunk there are some wires which end with multipin plug.
My best guess is that the previous owner had amplifier in the back + subwoofer and he removed those before selling the car.
So.... please help me to choose missing speakers, with following thoughts:
- I do not want to install amplifier unless absolutely, totally necessary.
- As a minimum I want to add back door speakers. a) What size do I need to buy? b) How powerful, so that my stereo can handle without amplifier.
- Should I bother with dashboard speakers? If yes, what size and which ones?
- Also I was wondering about an idea to move 2 way Kenwood speakers to the back, install normal (1 way?) speaker in the door and tweeters in the dash?
I am not an audiophile, just want a decent sound.

2023.06.10 20:27 urlocalastrohoe Unsure about future as an English Major
I'm not sure if this is the best subreddit but here I go. This is also my first post ever on reddit so I hope I don't screw anything up lol
I'm in my final year of my English major (I'm also minoring in Artistic Studies, purely for my own enjoyment), in a country from the EU. When I first decided to study languages and literatures I intended to, afterwards, pursue a masters (and eventually a job) in the publishing industry, as I have always loved books and reading.
As I progressed into my studies, I guess some professors took an interest in me and I was invited to participate in a mobility program in which I could study in the UK and take part in an interdisciplinary research project, I presented a research paper in an event, I helped out during two different academic conferences, I organised a book club for my department etc etc which made me interested in joining academia and proceed into a more research-focused master's degree.
However, as time passes and I become more and more aware of the choices I have to make, I can't help but feel claustrophobic - I have been thinking about pursuing a masters in publishing (I can do so without any debt or anything), but I know that it's incredibly incredibly hard to get a job in publishing and that even if I'm able to get one I will probably be overworked and underpaid; I also am interested in some research masters, as I would like to put my academic experience to use, but I know that academia is a dead end, extremely oversaturated and getting a job after the phd is like winning the lottery; finally, I have been thinking about pursuing a teaching masters, as there is a big teacher shortage crisis in my country and I think I would like the pedagogical side of it and I think I would like to work with kids, but both my parents are high school teachers and I can see everyday how exausted and absolutely overworked they are + the current conditions for young teachers aren't great (hence the teacher shortage crisis).
I have applied to work as an Erasmus trainee at an art gallery in Italy during the next year which would buy me some time to think about my alternatives, but it's kind of sad for me to see all my hardwork and accomplishments during these last few years to not matter at all and it makes me feel very powerless. I'm not sure what kind of advice I'm looking for - it's impossible to predict the future and, unfortunately, there's not much any of us can do to change the state of these industries. I guess I would just like to share my thoughts with people who might be going through the same thing and if anyone has any wisdom they could share, I would desesperatly appreciate it at this time of need.

2023.06.10 20:23 HotEntranceTrain Reinforcement learning for automated trading
Reinforcement learning - RL is a branch of machine learning that deals with learning from interaction with an environment. RL agents learn by trial and error, taking actions and receiving rewards or penalties based on the outcomes. RL agents aim to maximize their cumulative rewards over time by finding the optimal policy or strategy for each situation.
Reinforcement learning has many applications in various domains, such as robotics, games, healthcare, etc. One of the most promising and challenging applications of RL is automated trading. Automated trading is the process of using computer programs to execute trades in financial markets without human intervention. Automated trading can help investors to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and exploit market opportunities.
However, automated trading is not a trivial task. Financial markets are complex, dynamic, noisy, and uncertain. Traditional methods based on fixed rules or historical data may not be able to adapt to changing market conditions or capture hidden patterns. Therefore, reinforcement learning can be a powerful tool for automated trading, as it can learn from online feedback and optimize its performance in an end-to-end manner.
There are different types of reinforcement learning algorithms that can be used for automated trading, depending on the problem formulation and the learning objective. Some of the common types are:
- Value-based methods: These methods learn a value function that estimates the expected return of each state or state-action pair. The agent then chooses the action that maximizes the value function. Examples of value-based methods are Q-learning, SARSA, and Deep Q-Network (DQN).
- Policy-based methods: These methods learn a policy function that directly maps each state to an action or a probability distribution over actions. The agent then follows the policy function to choose an action. Examples of policy-based methods are REINFORCE, Actor-Critic, and Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO).
- Model-based methods: These methods learn a model of the environment that predicts the next state and reward given the current state and action. The agent then uses the model to plan ahead and choose an action. Examples of model-based methods are Dyna-Q, Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS), and Model Predictive Control (MPC).
To illustrate how these algorithms work, let us consider an example of using reinforcement learning for automated stock trading using historical data from 30 Dow Jones stocks from 1/1/2011 to 1/1/2021.
- Value-based method: We can use Q-learning to learn a Q-function that estimates the expected return of each state-action pair. The state can be defined as a vector of features that describe the current market situation, such as stock prices, indicators, portfolio holdings, etc. The action can be defined as a discrete choice among buying, selling, or holding each stock. The reward can be defined as the profit or loss incurred by taking an action. We can use a neural network to approximate the Q-function and update it using the Bellman equation. We can then use an epsilon-greedy exploration strategy to choose an action that maximizes the Q-function with some probability of random exploration.
- Policy-based method: We can use PPO to learn a policy function that directly outputs a probability distribution over actions given a state. The state can be defined as in the value-based method. The action can be defined as a continuous vector that represents the percentage of portfolio allocation for each stock. The reward can be defined as in the value-based method. We can use a neural network to approximate the policy function and update it using a clipped surrogate objective function that balances exploration and exploitation. We can then use a stochastic sampling strategy to choose an action according to the policy function.
- Model-based method: We can use MPC to learn a model of the environment that predicts the next state and reward given the current state and action. The state, action, and reward can be defined as in the policy-based method. We can use a neural network to approximate the model function and update it using supervised learning on historical data. We can then use an optimization algorithm such as gradient descent or genetic algorithm to find an action that maximizes the expected return over a finite horizon.
These are some examples of how reinforcement learning algorithms can be used for automated trading. However, there are many challenges and limitations that need to be addressed before applying RL to real-world trading scenarios. Some of these challenges are:
- Data quality: RL relies on high-quality data to learn effectively. However, financial data may be noisy, incomplete, or inaccurate due to various factors, such as market manipulation, human errors, or technical issues. Therefore, RL agents need to preprocess and validate the data before using it for training or testing. Moreover, RL agents need to deal with the non-stationarity of the data, which means that the data distribution may change over time due to market evolution or regime shifts. Therefore, RL agents need to update their models and policies periodically or adaptively to cope with the changing environment.
- Exploration-exploitation trade-off: RL agents need to balance between exploration and exploitation, which means that they need to try new actions to discover better ones while exploiting the current best actions to maximize rewards. However, exploration and exploitation have different costs and benefits in financial markets. Exploration may incur losses or risks due to taking suboptimal or uncertain actions. Exploitation may lead to missed opportunities or overfitting due to sticking to a local optimum or ignoring new information. Therefore, RL agents need to design appropriate exploration strategies that can balance the trade-off and achieve long-term optimal performance.
- Reward design: RL agents need to define a reward function that reflects their learning objective and guides their behavior. However, reward design is not a trivial task in financial markets. Different investors may have different preferences and constraints, such as risk appetite, return expectation, transaction cost, etc. Therefore, RL agents need to customize their reward functions according to their specific goals and scenarios. Moreover, reward functions need to be consistent and informative, which means that they need to align with the desired outcomes and provide sufficient feedback for learning.
- Evaluation metrics: RL agents need to evaluate their performance and compare their results with other methods or baselines. However, evaluation metrics are not straightforward in financial markets. Simple metrics such as cumulative return or win rate may not capture the true quality of a trading strategy. They may be influenced by luck, randomness, or market trends. Therefore, RL agents need to use more sophisticated metrics that can account for various factors, such as risk-adjusted return, drawdowns, volatility, etc. Moreover, RL agents need to use proper testing methods that can avoid data snooping or overfitting biases, such as cross-validation, backtesting, or paper trading.
These are some of the challenges and limitations that reinforcement learning faces when applied to automated trading. However, these challenges also provide opportunities for further research and improvement in this field. Reinforcement learning has shown great potential and promise for automated trading and has attracted increasing attention from both academia and industry. With more data availability, computational power, and algorithmic innovation, reinforcement learning can achieve better performance and efficiency for automated trading in the future.

2023.06.10 20:17 Bill_llib123 Andorra - best hikes & activities?
I’ll be in Andorra from 2-4 July.
I’m from a small city at the base of the Rocky Mountains in the US and am comfortable with mountain driving and hiking in higher altitudes
I’m overwhelmed by the number of beautiful hikes I’ve found in the country!
Rough itinerary:
July 2nd - •Arrive in the afternoon/early evening •Check into my hotel (near Soldeu) •Rest a bit, if needed (3-4 hour drive depending on the stops I will make for coffee, lunch, sightseeing) •Drive the “long” way (like 40 minutes including stops/detours to miradors!) to Andorra La Vella •stop at Miradors along the way, do some light hiking around these miradors as my energy/the time of day allow) •park the car, explore Andorra La Vella on foot. Buy groceries, get dinner
July 3- •wake in the early morning •full day of hiking •dinner en route back to the hotel or at the hotel resto •soak in the hotel spa or steam room before an early night
July 4- •check out by 10am •drive to several
selfie spots •stop at anything interesting along the way •maybe a short (>3hr total) hike? •drive back towards Barcelona (there is no time concern so I’ll leave Andorra whenever I feel I’ve experienced all I need to
If anyone has suggestions for my big hike or for anything to check out on 4 July im so keen to hear it!
Thanks I’m advance!

2023.06.10 20:16 SavingsSpare8104 Is there a difference between UV gel allergies and LED gel allergies? (Part 1)
| UV gel allergies occur as a result of an allergic reaction to the chemicals used in UV-cured gel nail products. These products often comprise a blend of chemicals, such as monomers, oligomers, and photointiators, which are activated by UV energy in the UV light to harden and cure the gel. What exactly is UV Energy? The wavelength of UV light is measured in nanometers. Nanometers are used to measure light wavelengths and distances between atoms in molecules, and some photoinitiators in our UV gel products are matched with nanometers to'receive' best nail supply store near me the energy, which initiates the curing process of our UV gel. It's crucial to know that all "gel" nail treatments are UV-cured, so check the product label or consult with the manufacturer to determine the curing and application process. It is critical to match the lamp that cures your gel with the gel that you use; doing so will ensure appropriate curing of your UV gel and will help prevent allergies. If the company selling you the goods cannot answer all of your questions before and after you buy it, it may be worth seeking for another provider. How to Spot an Allergic Reaction Allergic reactions to UV-cured gel allergens can range from mild discomfort to more severe symptoms such as redness, itching, swelling, or blisters. In rare circumstances, the reaction may be delayed and manifest several hours or days after the nail wholesale supply near me initial gel exposure (some reactions can take years to show - an allergy can develop over time). Remove all product and take care to recover your nail units and skin with a decent oil and lotion if you observe any of these symptoms at any moment. Wearing gloves during application and removal, good ventilation, avoiding skin contact with the gel as much as possible, and using only high-quality, reputable products that have been tested and certified for safety and leave all skin layers intact around the nail unit are all recommended precautions to prevent UV gel allergies in the salon or education center. Repeated exposure to these (uncured or badly cured) compounds can further raise the likelihood of developing an allergy over time; however, be mindful that a 'acute reaction' is still possible, especially if you previously responded to another allergen. yournailsupplier Allergies and our skin Our guardian seals protect us not only from viruses, but also from chemicals that may or may not be on our skin, and our skin is our own 'built-in' UV Radiation filter - removing any of your skin layers during a salon service may raise your risk of developing skin cancer. We do not recommend self-patch nail and beauty supply near me testing the product on a tiny area of skin; instead, leave it to the professionals, and avoid using a comparable UV treatment if any signs of irritation or allergy emerge until you know for certain which ingredient and or allergen caused the response in the first place. When you know what created the problem, it is much easier to discover a solution. What should you do if you suspect a UV Gel allergy? If you suspect you have a UV gel allergy, notify the brand nail supply store open to public and company from which you purchased it, as well as seek medical attention for proper diagnosis and treatment before switching to another product. This will prevent any further allergic reactions and keep you and your clients safe in the salon. submitted by SavingsSpare8104 to u/SavingsSpare8104 [link] [comments] |
2023.06.10 20:13 deschutesrapids Financial freedom courses being marketed as empowering women
Just wanted to pop in to vent a frustration. I've noticed a ton of online courses revolving around investing and teaching financial literacy skills to women. They always start off with other women sharing how they turned their life around. They make you feel like they understand you and understand how scary financial growth can be - but as feminists they're willing to help! It always boils down the same;
"Why are we sharing this information with you?"
"Well, money is a powerful tool and women historically haven't been taught financial literacy. We want to change that to build an equitable future! We need to have equal influence in politics and maintain our human rights and financial influence is such an important tool. Now that we've wasted an hour of your time with basic information, buy our course for $4000."
Sure, you're free to sell a course but don't position yourselves as feminists and obfuscate the fact you're trying to sell someone something. It's disgusting and anti-feminist. You're literally taking advantage of a group you acknowledge has been under served for your own financial gain.
Sure, people should probably guess that courses or webinars are never free but when you say your motivation is to change the landscape of tomorrow united under feminism, people may give you the benefit of the doubt that you're willing to share for that mission and not for your own financial benefit. It's deceptive, shady at best.

2023.06.10 20:13 evscye For those who take Fish Oil, how did you find the right brand for you?
I take a good amount of supplements every day, so I like to be mindful of how much I’m spending because the prices can add up fast but I also want to make sure I’m getting a good product. I’ve been struggling to find a good fish oil for the longest time, as I’m looking for an affordable brand with good ratios and high bioavailability. The more I read the more I realize there is to consider when purchasing fish oil. If I wasn’t worried about money, I’d just buy Nordic Naturals and call it a day, but because I am worried about money, it seems my options are just chaotic.
- One thing to consider is the ratio of DHA and EPA. While DHA is better for cognition, EPA is good for inflammation but can cause depression(?). People generally recommend a 2:1 DPA to EPA ratio, while others avoid EPA entirely. I think I’d like EPA in some quantity as it can help with my back pain.
- Another thing to consider is absorption rate. Re-esterified triglycerides are supposed to be the ideal form of Omega 3s for absorption rate, but how does one check what form a brand is? Or, is this a non issue as most forms are similar in bioavailability or just use the best form? They also mention to avoid ethyl esters as they are the lowest bio availability.
- Finally, how much do I f**king take? I notice a subtle difference in cognition from taking fish oil that’s enough to warrant continuing, but the brand and quality seems to play a role. How much good quality, highly bio available fish oil do I need to consume daily to reap the benefits?
With all of that said, what have you found to be the most cost effective, well ratio’d, and highly bio available fish oil? How much do you take, and what benefits do you get?
Edit: I’ve just read your body can convert EPA to DHA as needed, but it’s much harder for it to convert DHA to EPA. Higher EPA ratios seem to be favorable, at risk of a worse mood.

2023.06.10 20:05 kafazadobrojutro Propegating Sambucus nigra
Hi! I was wondering what would be the best way to raise Sambucus nigra without buying it - does anyone have any experiences?
I'm willing to try multiple methods Also engliish isn't my first language so excuse that
I've been thinking I could try raising it from a seed -extraxting the seed from the fruit and dry storing it over winter, -storing it in the fruit -planting it in a soil sample and storing it in a cold place over the winter And -just trying to propegate it from a live part of the plant (or multiple different parts, just so see what works best)
*Soil quality won't be a problem once I've raised it

Ted Kaczynski, better known as the Unabomber, has been found dead in his jail cell by prison officers, US media outlets say, citing officials.
Kaczynski spent the past three decades held at prisons across the US - most recently at a North Carolina prison medical facility.
Prison guards at the facility discovered Kaczynski's body this morning at around 08:00 local time, US media reported.
Before suffering from declining health which prompted his transfer to the facility in December 2021, he had been held at the federal Supermax prison in Florence, Colorado, since May 1998.
Kaczynski was a man who fascinated America for decades, and he became the focus of numerous TV documentaries.
They agreed to print the manifesto after Kaczynski said he would end his campaign if a national paper published his treatise.

Hello 👋,
I’m looking for some a bit of advice on the best thing to do with my finances.
I have a future goal of purchasing a house but given the state of the world, I’ll probably be holding off for a while.
My current situation is:
- 28 years old
- 180k salary in LCOL
- $1825 a month for a house with fiancé (offices for both of us)
- 81k in 401k, maxing out this year
- 76k in savings
- only debt is 15k student loans
- one car, recently paid off
If I continue maxing out my 401k, is that simply enough to retire on?
Should I pay off my student loans after the forgiveness period is over?
I’m not sure when I’d be buying a house, should I move money to an HYSA?
Thanks in advance!

2023.06.10 19:44 YuiSendou Crime and Punishment in Union
I feel like I don't have a good handle on how Union handles criminals. This is relevant, because in an upcoming session it's very likely that my PCs, who are Union forces, will capture some pirates on a frontier area (~6 months nearlight realtime from nearest other system), and I want to have a good answer to what will happen to them after, that keeps with the flavor of the setting.
The Crime: the pirates have killed several (less than 10) people from a non-Union state, destroyed important but not critical infrastructure, and stolen a large load of valuable commodities. The non-Union state is being nice and willing to turn them over to Union's justice, because relations are frosty at best and their own justice system is abhorrent to Union. For a handful of pirates, they'd rather buy friendlier relations. There is an HA colony in the system as well where the pirates can be sent.
I think an appropriate answer, that keeps with the Union Pillars, is roughly as follows. First they spend some time in the HA colony, where they cannot die of poverty but they won't have a fun time. They may work a crummy job if they choose, or a nice one if they get in touch with certain ethically compromised officials. Then, when outbound transit is available, they get a nearlight trip to what passes for a prison, where your movement is limited, your mail is read, but the confinement area is like, house arrest to a nice mansion. Sometimes a guy comes through and lectures you on philosophy, you can hold a job if you want to, or study something, and then eventually your term is up. Then you're free to go wherever, starting off from Metropolitan space. - which is nice enough to get most people to quit any crimes of profit.
This is an attempt to try to square the image of Union as a utopian good guy, with no secret brainwashing programs or w.e., with the need to...do something to bad actors other than just shooting them in the face. It does notably leave open the door for committed political criminals to come back and try again, which is a fun storytelling opportunity!
What other ideas do people have? How have you approached it in your games?

2023.06.10 19:40 Realistic-Cap-7635 Personal reflection on the game, and how it could be better
SAs someone who has:
- Completed all quests
- Completed Badum quests
- Unlocked Everything (Factions all 20)
- Have 285/285 with gear and guns
- Have around 8m - 10m Kmarks
- Am at best average at straight up PvP, most of my success is from playing smart and cautious (making moves at the right time, rotating and repositioning in fights, coordinating with my team, counting shots, etc)
These are the following things that I have observed about the game, but more specifically after patch 3.4:
- Most of my time playing the game is spent PvPing in duo and trio squads, helping out some of my friends do their quests, or just going around solo gathering cables for letium drills, doing data drives for dungeons, or farming pistons and aluminum for oil, or just doing jobs for scrips
- Having 10m sometimes but nowhere to spend it on since my stash is perpetually full means that I have to sell perfectly fine guns such as Flechettes and Advocates to buy Kors and Brutes just to keep my money down so I can pick more stuff up to sell and not waste K-Mark rewards from jobs.
- There has been a significant rise in cheaters after the patch. Before the patch, there were at best 1 cheater every 4 or 5 raids. Now it seems that there are cheaters almost every other raid, and raids without cheaters are either empty or full of white gear guys doing what white gear guys do.
- Dungeons somehow outclass Lab Keycard rewards. I understand that they are not the same thing, but I have over 800 hours this season, not once have I found a Lab Keycard. Good thing I opened the Lab keyroom just before it got nerfed.
- Due to all the end-game content being around the north-western part of Crescent Falls, the south-eastern part of the map is empty. The only people I ever find there are either white gear guys questing, or cheaters who ape for my brute that ran from Starport Warehouse.
- Matchmaking is still not fixed. I still get trios in my Crescent Falls/Tharis raids despite being a solo. (I literally see their drops, no they are not teaming)
- Before the patch, I had to forge around ~125x before completing the 10 Slags I need for Badum. After the patch, I have managed to get 5 slags in less than 20 forges, and got 2 slags back to back just a few raids ago. The drop rate may be slightly higher than intended, but the sample size of my personal experience may not reflect the actual statistics.
- Tharis is dead. As someone who actually enjoys Tharis Island, it's frustrating to have my favorite map nerfed to the ground that no one ever comes there anymore except for some white gear warriors looking for a comeup or just mining Tharis Iron, or those who are there to farm slags. It's a shame, because currently, Tharis is the only map that is actually almost free of any cheaters because of the level requirement to unlock the map in the first place(Most cheaters get banned before unlocking it, and the cheaters that actually play on Tharis are most likely retail cheaters meaning they are legit players but decided they needed an edge to play the game)
- I've been randomly getting disconnected from the raid, with my gear just vanishing, then immediately dropping back into the same raid naked. Sometimes, this happens over and over again, until I can find respite from a stranger who mercy kills me or until I exit to station which I usually do.
Now what exactly can be done about the game? I will enumerate suggestions that directly mirror the points that I have made above.
- The end game loop is absolutely terrible (wow, 103,127th time this has been said on the sub, i know). The game is absolutely in need of some content especially for end game players. PvPing is absolutely the only real thing that can be done, and while that is fun, why not just play other shooters that go straight to the point like Apex? Jobs are mostly tedious and annoying to do, and it does need either an update or a rework. A global leaderboard would also be cool, as we saw several people actually playing the game just to get on the howlerbuster boards.
- The money cap seems like a band-aid solution to a bigger problem. With the current economy of increased ammo and repair costs, more items added into the item pool, and no more permanent insurance, below average players are having a hard time keeping a steady economy in the station whereas successful players still are successful. I personally never really had a hard time hitting the money cap over and over again, the harder thing to do is actually keep my stash from overflowing. I thought the approach to season 3 was to make it easier for newer players to get into but the current system hard gatekeeps casuals while barely doing anything to sweats. Something they could do is just to add a high-roller lobby where you cannot insure gear, and the lobbies cost Kmarks to drop into or even aurum, and is locked with gear requirement so you know you will be fighting people in gear. This also means that if you die, you do not get anything back, and that what you paid for to get into the raid is also gone. (An immediate effect of this implementation might be that we would get almost empty lobbies in regular and high roller instances due to the players being further split into separate buckets but this change alone would bring back so many of the sweats who stopped playing the game back, and the casuals could actually just finish their quests)
- Nothing to say about cheaters really, but a few hours into the patch, guys were flying everywhere once again despite " 3.4.0 containing various backend improvements and tweaks to the anti-cheat formula and Yager adding new systems to the game to help detect and prevent the kinds of cheats we have found to be the most common ". I understand that 10 devs vs 1000 cheat makers is a tough battle, but certain measures to make reporting and banning cheaters can be done. Adding a death cam that can only be played after either the whole squad is dead, or the enemy squad is dead is one thing that can be doable, many other games have this feature. And before anyone starts going, "well, you can't do this because you can drop in the same lobby if you drop back down again and now you know where the enemy is", just make it so that players have a 15-minute cooldown per instance of the map which aligns with the time it takes for gear to despawn. That way, even the information you receive from the death cam is irrelevant 15 minutes later, and is only really useful for reviewing deaths and as evidence for cheating. Sure, you can get a lucky 5-headshot beam with a Kor on someone but 12x in a row in the same raid? That's an easy ban if anything.
- Key rooms are massively underwhelming right now. Community Room? Here's a green creature mod for your smg. What's that purple keycard you got there? - Oh, it's an Overgrown Keycard. That's 3 Circuit Boards, 21 Basic Light Ammo, and a white backpack. I've gotten 5,000 Overseers Office Keycards, but 1 Basecamp Armory Key, please explain how this is possible? Back in Season 1, key rooms were heavily utilized(as they should). Base Camp Luggage Room was always open, so was Armory in Jungle. Garage in Greens? Good luck. Hell, even Community Room was worth the trek because Loose House was there as well. I've since sold all my keycards early into the season as I have found it utterly useless and I have better luck picking up high tier weapons and armor just running around Tharis Island. Something clearly should be done here, the Lab Keycard during the start of Season 3 was perfect - it was hard to get up there, it's an extremely rare card, and it can be only used once. The loot was god tier, but that's assuming you can evac with it. And almost everyone only really got one shot at opening it, but I suppose that was too good because now all you ever really get is 3 PKR Maelstroms and a blue set. Sidenote: Puzzle Rooms are also really bad. They really are only for the reactors, and the weapon crate is a bonus, but the process of completing the puzzle, especially solo, is way too much of an ask for so little of a reward. The only puzzle really worth doing is the one by greens prospect since it can be done solo in 15 seconds, but even then you get shot as soon as you start doing it.
- South-eastern side of the map of Crescent should get some love. Add something there that would actually make players want to go there, or at least make them decide which side of the map they should go to. As of now, all the high-gear players go Warehouse/Pinnacle due to the large open areas which make it ideal for fights, versus the thick jungles of Favela that has dense foliage and full of cliffs where you die if you slip off of. Sure missions take you there, but everyone eventually completes their missions and its off to Pinnacle most of the time from hereon out. Buffing Community Key will not pull players there since keys are single use, and I understand the dungeon is there but let's face it, not many people enjoy doing the dungeon in the first place, be it easy as it was back then or how it is now.
- Fix matchmaking. That is all. Please.
- Whatever this is, keep it the way it is. Don't find out oh, the drop rate was increased to 30% instead of increasing it by 3% and reverting it back.
- Add gear lock to Tharis. That's it, plain and simple. There should be some risk to Tharis, and on the opposite side of the stick, there should also be reward. What is the point of ammo being more expensive, repairs being more expensive, money being harder to keep, if I can just keep dropping back in to Tharis with just a white backpack, mine for 5 minutes and evac with 30-50k worth of Kmarks in Tharis Iron? Imagine doing that for an hour, that's an easy 300k right there. Just about the same amount you get from completing a letium drill, but with no investment, no risk, just sacrificing your sanity for the sake of money. As it stands, in order to add 5% less fauna damage and 5% less damage from storm strikes to my shield and stamina regen during storm on my backpack, I have to fight 6 free loadouts ratting in and around Tharis without gaining anything yet risking everything.
- I understand ping limit, server issues, yada yada yada. Just make it so if you go poof, let our teammates pick our shit up. PLEASE GODDAMNIT. This is so dumb. I've lost countless loadouts to this dumb mechanic of being booted out of the raid, and now just to add insult to injury I get dropped back in but naked over and over again. What spaghetti code is this where you fix one thing and 12 other things become broken. Just please drop our shit, let some rando pick it up and have a nice feeling picking up a kor and purple set. I don't care. JUST DROP OUR SHIT PLEASE and thank you.

2023.06.10 19:36 PhilPlease Summary of my June 9, 2023 trip at Disneyland
Hi all, lots of people gave me planning tips so I wanted to return the favor by summarizing my trip, in case it’s helpful. I traveled with my wife. We live in So Cal so we drove to the park the morning of. We did not buy any add ons (like Genie Plus or Lightning Lanes)
Rope drop: my wife and I went straight to Adventureland and boarded Indiana Jones (20 minute wait)
Immediately after, walked onto Jungle Cruise (no wait). Then walked into Pirates (no wait, but broke down for ten minutes). From there, got a churro (no line) and walked onto Winnie the Pooh (no wait).
Walked to galaxy’s edge. Lines were long so went to cantina (walked in without reservation, then left after a few minutes after the stormtroopers came in).
Went to Fantasyland. Rode Pinocchio (no wait), Snow White (ten minutes), the carousel (five minutes), and the storybook river cruise (five minutes). Then walked onto Small World (no wait).
This is when the park started filling up somewhat (around 11am). After, headed to Tomorrowland and rode Star Tours (25 minutes) and Buzz Lightyear (35 minutes). Got a pretzel (no wait) before hopping into Star tours line.
Crossed back to adventure land to get some dole whip with mango chimoy (can’t mobile order, so waited about fifteen minutes and soaked in the vibes). Then snacked on beignets at hungry bear (mobile ordered - no wait).
At this point, rise of the resistance had broken down. We went back to galaxy’s edge and ate lunch at the restaurant (I think it’s called landing port). Food was excellent. Atmosphere was amazing.
Then went to smugglers run (45 min wait). As we neared the end of the line I saw on the app that the wait ballooned to 180 minutes. Meanwhile ROTR was still closed.
After, went to chill in galaxy’s edge. Saw the mandalorian. Walked past ROTR. The cast members at the entrance were letting people in and told us the wait would be 40-50 min. In actuality the ride was still broken. As we waited, many park guests exited the line from the front. Several said they had waited two hours. We waited for an hour and then bailed. I checked the app throughout the day after and the ride stated down for another two hours or so.
After leaving ROTR, we veered to frontier land because we hadn’t seen it yet. We browsed the shops for a while, then went to Main Street to get coffee at Starbucks (15-20 min wait). It was definitely worth the wait because we were really tired and needed the coffee. We sipped our coffee and relaxed, pursuing the main street sites, shops, and exhibits.
After, we did the tea cups (10 or 15 minute wait). Then the parade marched past us, so we got to see the parade. We didn’t have the best view (we were near small world), but we got a pretty decent view of everything and enjoyed the parade.
After, we stopped by toon town just to take in the sites. Rodger rabbit had an hour wait, but we didn’t want to go on it. The new Micky and Minnie ride was not taking standby wait anymore (just lightning lane). But toon town was really cute (spent about ten minutes just walking around).
Next, we headed to the Mark Twain for a sunset cruise. It was a highlight of the day. Really nice ride. Very impressive ship.
Then we hopped off and walked around New Orleans Square at night. Really beautiful when sun sets. Then, we did the same for Galaxy’s edge. We bought some dinner (sausages - pretty delicious and no wait) and then took in the sites. We also checked out the gift shop. (By this time ROTR was reopen but the lightning lane was over an hour wait because the ride had essentially been broken all day)
We ended the day by walking around fantasy land, through tomorrow land, to the front of the castle. We arrived around 9pm and waited for the fireworks show. We got a great spot and enjoyed the show.
After the show, we did some last minute shopping in Main Street and downtown Disney. After waiting out the crowds for a bit we took the tram back to the parking lot and were out of the parking lot around 10:30/11pm.
—————— Biggest tips: Be at the parking lot no later than 7:30am and make sure you rope drop. We got on pretty much every ride.
Don’t expect to get on ROTR or the new Micky and Minnie ride. It’s slammed. If you really want to go, you have to prioritize it and recognize you’ll have to pay for extras (stay an extra day, buy lightning lanes, and/or buy genie plus) or you’ll have to be willing to go on fewer attractions so that you can make it in one of these two rides. You also need a little luck - the reason I didn’t rope drop ROTR is because everyone rope drops it and because it’s often broken down at the beginning of the day. So I didn’t want to roll the dice and risk losing that two hour window where few people are in the park.
The rides are fun but definitely pick and choose what you go on. If a ride doesn’t interest you very much, then don’t spend an hour waiting for it. For instance, we skipped a few rides like Autopia because we didn’t care for that ride. Same with some roller coasters (they’re cool but my wife doesn’t like roller coasters and Disney coasters aren’t worth waiting more than an hour, to me. But I’ve been going for years so I’ve been on all the coasters a million times.)
Instead, one of the best parts of the park is soaking in the good vibes, hanging with a snack, and just appreciating all the immersive decor.
Similarly, I recommend revisiting parts of the park during different times of day. The ambiance totally changes at sunset and then during the evening. The best examples are Main Street, Galaxy’s Edge, and New Orleans Square.
I think one of the best things we did was rope dropping adventure land. Most people rushed to ROTR or Space Mountain, which had pretty big wait times. If you were one of the lucky few who made it to the front of the line, it may have been worth it, but most people probably had to wait a while. By contrast, rope dropping adventure land enabled me to go on a bunch of rides in the first two hours. It took stress off the second half of the day. I also saw that many of these rides had huge lines after eleven.
Bring a backpack. Pack an extra pair of shoes, water, and sunblock.
Lastly, I recommend doing a river cruise through the Mark Twain at sunset. I also recommend getting to the fireworks show at least 30 minutes early, but no more than 45 minutes early.
A final tip - research before you go. Familiarize yourself with the park layout, get the app, watch YouTube videos, and get a game plan. You should have a sense of what you want to do and how you’re going to accomplish it.

2023.06.10 19:33 L3-Bilibili Descent mode, Solo, Loop 24, 5 hours 40 min, and share some tips
https://preview.redd.it/9bs3mg8po75b1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=49f2f42fdab5ecfd92040d178d1f983c9d148620 The game didn't crash
The characters didn't die
and the game network accelerator didn't disconnect
But Me,really can't hold it, too tired. 6 Hours.
https://preview.redd.it/dfisqktuo75b1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83a60ef0ea652b7550bf6a08ceadc2b243b0dcf1 It is currently 11th on the list, which is not bad I only bought level 10 accuracy +“Get a random talent at start”upgrades in DC and nothing else.
What I got: - 30 season levels
- 21 chests, including 2 exotic weapon chests (one of which is supposed to be a weekly quest, the other may be a season pass)
- Expert skill points 40+ (When I heard this game will have a new mode, I was very happy, thinking that could be a good mode just like survival mode in TD1, so I created a new account)
That's all the rewards. Nothing. And very little fun. And if you quit this mode, the progress will clear to zero! Take loop 40 as the end point,It will take at least another 10 hours to play. Starting from 15th loop, there will be 3 waves of enemies in each room.
Overall,
the cost of failure in this model is too high, resulting in high levels of frustration and
very little positive feedback. (Game crash ,network,PC reboot ETC, and u can not save ur progress!)
Even in the late stage, the player's skills, talents, every are build up in good shape, there is not much fun.
Because similar experiences, or even better experiences, can be played in normal mode, even more comfortable, such as hunter suits and strike suits.
If you want to play this mode, I also give you some tips:
- Killing Nemesis is just the beginning
In the first 5 loop: - select hard mode to get money
- Talent focus on armor recover, by killing enemies, by critical hits, by headshots. These are important !!!!!!
- Pay attention to the type of weapon, especially handguns. In firt 8 Loops, you will need a lot of ammunition.I would say ALMG+ M870/Super 90+A pistol with a medium rate of fire(not 93R)
- Better have a super 90 or M870. And a control skill to control Nemesis,so u could shoot
From Loop 6: - Choose mid mode, because for solo players, the enemy in Hard Mode are too many , and have faction changes.
- After killing a Boss, improve ur fire and armor one by one,Until you start to feel that enemy can smash your armor every ez.
- Talent focuses on increasing critical chance and critical damage and head shot damage
- At Loop 7~8 u will meet Nemesis
- Nemesis needs to use skills to control it and not shoot with it too much,if u did ,u die.
- It seems to use the same weapons and skills as you, but the damage is much higher.
- I'm using the foam skill, taking control and using shotguns and AR to kill depending on distance.
After killing Namesis - You can continue to play the cycle, because this is when you start to strengthen, from a toddler to a teenager.(装备开始成形)
- After 15 loop, basically everything you can buy is sold out, and money should be re-roll talents, focus on armor recovery and output.
- Start with loop 16,You will encounter elite enemies with yellow blood stripes and thick armor
- Later on you'll also encounter "special enemies" using rotating machine guns, grenade launchers, shields and nail guns, and have super armor, you know. (My English is not good)
- All kinds of robots and drones, with purple and gold blood stripes.
- Hazard protection will become important. More and more elite enemies, their grenades will burn, lasers will blind, foam will control.and u will die easily.
- You should be ready to run and shoot, like COD,don't stay in the cover when there are too many enemy,You'll be surrounded
- Choose a single shot high damage weapon, I switched from M4 to M60, M870 works very pefect. The pistol was changed to the revolver with the best single shot damage and good bullet speed
- Because of the talent, I didn't need to reload.
- Speed of fire is provided by talent
- Use the M870 and foam skill to try to block the door in each room
- The revolver is suitable for medium and long range and weak spot destruction
Each time you enter the room: - Choose a safe corner according to the terrain
- ambush the door where the enemy appears+next to ur safe corner.
- Try to kill these enemy at the start of each wave, so that half of the entire room is safe for u in next 20 seconds. During this time, fine enemy's position. Take them one by one, using run-shoot(just like cod) if necessary, to avoid being redefended by the remaining enemy.
- Try to get back to the safe zone before you kill the last enemy in the wave.
- High ground usually has advantages, but some maps are longer, and high ground is not a safe place, in this kinf of map ,you need to go to low areas, and try to block doors and clear a safe zone.
- Killing bosses is easy because of the size of the map.
- In DC u can buy Elite enemy protection upgrades, this seems to be unique, no talent in speed Descent can provide.
- I don't upgrade my skill strength at all, after killing a BOSS, I increase my armor depending on how easy it is for the enemy to crush my armor. if i think i am safe ,i will upgrade firepower
Ohter:
- The best weapon I've ever seen is blue, and since Loop 18, I've barely adjusted my weapon or skill. Because they haven't changed at all.
- Talents in game mode provide 50% critical hit, the remaining 10% need to be purchased upgrade in DC.
- Max Critical hit damage is 100% with a talent. I don't know if it stacks up with other talents.
- Revivals seem to have a limit, after I get knocked down (0 armor, 0 health, agent down), something called Revivals Token appears in the store and I buy it every time. Because I rarely get knocked out, unless it's a series of grenades, or a packet loss on the Internet.
- At the end of the 20+loop, my main weapons were revolvers and M870, and always have enough ammunition. About 40 rounds of shotgun ammunition left before i buy ammo.
- The M870 is too fast to clear enemies at close range, much, much faster than the M60 and AR.
- The LMG has the effect of suppressing the enemy, if the enemy just comes out of the door, and you keep shooting, the enemy will "freeze" for a few seconds, which is a good opportunity. However, this was too ammo consuming, so I only use LMG in map with supply stores and BOSS battles.
Overall, I wouldn't spend another 6 hours playing this mode Since Namesis can only be killed once, the rest of the game is not much fun, your equipment and skills are grow up and become perfect, but the challenge(Namesis) is gone.
Changes I hope UBi could make: - Shorten the process. It takes too much time right now.
- Or allow the player to save progress at every 5 loop, just like Peak Tower mode.(not 10 loop that take tooooooo much time)and allow restart from loop 1 without quit to DC。
-
- Nemesis can reappear , fight it again in loop 20,30,40 and get a exotic weapon chest.
- Exotic talents can add up/stuck up level.
- More permanent upgrades available
- Provides suit talents after loop 20, such as hunter, strike
- GUI imrpove
- Allows players switch Key1 and Key2 positions for weapon and Q/E for skills.
- Reduce the negative feedback caused by death, for example, starting with 11 loop, each loop allows the player to revive once. But lose a certain amount of money or drop 1 level for a random talent. Come on, the Internet will disconnect, computers will crash, games will crash. These are all negative gaming experiences caused by unexpected circumstances. Since we can't save progress all the time, can we make a baseline protection mechanism?
- Add more talent and more solt for talent.

2023.06.10 19:23 Supaa69 Where to Order and Dosing Answered
Okay, there are ALWAYS questions about where to order and how in the Tirzepatide thread. I just know everyone says “search for it” and it takes quite a bit of searching through people asking to find it and others have to spend so much time answering messages to give out the information.
I am going to share ways to order and the big Q so people have it if they want it.
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. I am not giving anyone medical advise. Each person is responsible for themselves and for what they decide to order and use. You need to do research. Look through these topics and discussions. Use the search function. Go to other apps and search things. Go to search engines and search things. The answers ARE out there already.
- Mounjaro is tirzepatide (TZ). Mounjaro is the brand name from Eli Lilly for the drug tirzepatide. The only place you can get the brand name Mounjaro legally is from a licensed pharmacy and you must have a prescription. Cost is well over $1,000 without insurance. To find out if your insurance covers it and the co-pay, go to your insurance website and look it up in their formulary. Most or all will require pre-authorization which means they will review and deny coverage unless you meet criteria or appeal the decision.
- Compounded Tirzepatide. Compounded tirzepatide is made/reconstituted at a compound pharmacy. These pharmacies in the US are FDA regulated and have to follow many rules to do what they do. To get compounded tirzepatide you will need a prescription. Cost varies but is cheaper than non-covered Mounjaro. You can find local doctors to write your script if they are registered with a compound pharmacy which will likely be the cheapest option (no middle man). Your other option is to look up the MANY MANY places that offer it online.
I use Valhalla Vitality and haven’t had any issues with them. Their customer service for me has been great and the price ends up cheaper than others I’ve seen due to the $100/yr consultation vs a per month or quarter membership cost. Their scripts are 40mg and if you need more (higher dosing) they give you a discount and you can order more often. Normal cost is $545 plus $50 shipping. You build up discounts as you purchase to save money as well. I still order from them some to have a prescription bottle of TZ for travel just so I never run into an issue.
Here are some ways some of these places work:
Some have a questionnaire that a doctor reviews and approves you to order, you order, they send a script to the pharmacy they use, that’s it.
Some you have to pay a monthly, quarterly, or annual fee and meet with a doctor monthly, quarterly, or annually to go over things and approve you. Then you can order, they send a script to the pharmacy they use, that’s it.
Some you find a provider that covers your state, meet with them, they charge what they want, and the company also charges a fee on top of that. Then you can order, they send a script to the pharmacy they use, that’s it.
Some require blood work before they will prescribe anything.
Most send you everything you need with each order (medication, alcohol prep pads, instructions, and insulin needles)
Needless to say, there are many options and YOU need to figure out which is best for you. These are easy to find by Googling “compounded tirzepatide” with words like order, pharmacy, doctor, etc.
- Lyophilized (freeze dried) Tirzepatide Peptide. This is often what people are here to look for. Arctic, Peptide Science, Wicked, BioTech, QSC, Senwayer, etc. (there are a ton)
At these places you buy a dry peptide (usually with filler) and you have to reconstitute it yourself. To reconstitute means to add fluid to dissolve the peptide so you can draw it up and inject it. This is done using BAC water. Most of these places sell BAC water as well. You will also need alcohol prep pads and insulin needles.
You do not need a doctor or a prescription to buy peptides. It is not illegal to buy peptides. Peptides sold like this are designed to be for research purposes only (not for you to inject yourself) but it can save you money and lots of people do it.
Places that charge more may have reasons for doing so. For example, Arctic Peptides
used to order from QSC and sell to people for a higher price but they also get COAs for batches to ensure the vials contain close to pure tirzepatide and the correct amount. Ordering from QSC and Senwayer is way cheaper but you also have no way of knowing if your specific batch is 99%+ pure TZ or if it is close to 10mg in the vials unless you send vials yourself for testing. There was a thread where someone had a COA showing a batch of QSC was 30% under-dosed and Senwayer was under-dosed as well just not as much. So that is a big risk of ordering direct. That being said, they do have pretty good reputations and many people order from them.
Most peptide companies have a website you can search and order from but QSC and Senwayer do not. To order, you email. Tell them what you want and they will email you prices. To place your order they will tell you the information they need and ask how you want to pay. They both take different methods of payment and it is up to you to decide which you are most comfortable with.

[email protected] - Dosing. If you are reconstituting peptides, you need to be able to do some simple math. The mg of TZ in a vial is the total mg. A 5mg vial has 5mg TZ. A 10mg vial has 10mg TZ. So, when you put in BAC water, however much you put in, that amount equals the vial total in mg and you have to divide that amount into your specific dose. For insulin needles 100 units is one mL.
Also, you choose how much BAC water to add. If you choose to do more or less you can but then you have to do similar math to figure out how many units equals how many mg. There is also a peptide calc website you can use. But note it measures the mg as mcg so you multiply the vial mg by 1000 when using the calculator because 1mg=1000mg so a 10mg vial is actually 10000mcg and a 2.5mg dose is 2500mcg.
Here are some examples.
Example 1 - You purchased a 10mg vial of TZ. You are brand new and are going to take 2.5mg doses to start. You can use a 100 unit insulin needle to add 100 units (1 mL) of BAC water to the vial. Now 100 units equals 10mg. Simple math means if you want 2.5mg doses, 2.5 + 2.5 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 10. So there are 4 doses of 2.5mg in this vial. There are 100 units in this vial. 100/4 is 25. So 25 units = 2.5mg TZ. Now, if you want 3mg it is 30 units. 5mg it is 50 units. Etc.
Example 2 - You have a 5mg vial of TZ. Your dose is 5mg. So, you need to use the entire vial for your one dose. Whether you put in 30 units of BAC water, 50 units, or 100 units, it doesn’t matter, you use the entire amount to inject 5mg.
Example 3 - You have a 10mg vial of TZ. You decided you want 3 equal doses from the vial so you are going to do 3.33 mg per shot. You can inject 100 units, divide that by 3 and that equals 3 doses of 33 units each.
Example 4 - You have a 10mg vial of TZ. Your dose is 5mg. This means you have 2 doses. You put in 200 units of BAC water. Your dose for 5mg is 100 units. Now, if your dose is 2.5mg then that means there are 4 doses in the 200 units. 200/4 = 50. Your dose for 2.5mg is 50 units.
I hope this helps and if anyone else has tips and tricks or useful information please add on!
